It's been so long since I had a real visit from AF since I was on the BCP for so many years that I don't really remember what the symptoms of having your period are.

My question is this: can AF make you extremely tired? Or can you be really tired a few days before you get AF? I've been so tired and have actually taken a few naps during the day, and I have a really hard time falling asleep during the day, so it's a little unusual for me.

Thanks!

YES! For me, AF wipes me out! Even my hot yoga teach has talked about how women who are menstruating may not feel up to their normal extension on their poses. It's gotta be those pesky hormone levels rising and falling.

Yes. Normal. LOL, unfortunately. I had some major adjusting when I first went off of BC, like acne coming back, terrible 9 day AF visits, O pain, total lack of energy, and some other TMI stuff.

Yep I get tired too and I find it lasts a couple of days after af leaves too. Like now for me, I had spotting monday but nothing since and (apart from the fact I woke up feeling poorly this morning) Im still sluggish as af was pretty heavy last time around.

Yep, just like the other ladies, I'm super tired right before AF and during the first day or so of AF. I'm also crazy hungry!

Oh my goodness, the exhaustion is horrible!!! (And the constant hunger!)

Seriously, the last two days have gone like this for me:

wake up, complain, go teach, come home and eat, nap, JM, eat, nap, eat, JM, nap, go teach, come home, eat, JM, snuggle w/ DH, go to bed. I have ZERO energy. And a huge appetite. And nasty cramps. This has got to stop soon, right???

Yes ma'am all that is completely normal....I'm extremely tired it's like I can't get enough sleep and super hungry. Your increased appetite is from the hormones and to avoid being so fatigue take an iron supplement.

I'm still really tired and hungry, but I haven't gotten AF yet. I really hate being so tired and hungry. I have still been working out every day, but I'm really dragging. I'm used to my workouts energizing me, so it makes me sad that they are making me so tired.
