I am new to this whole being able to ask questions of people about ttc. My DH and I have been trying to have a little one for almost a year. Problem is that I only get my period when I am on the pill. Has anyone had this problem, and were they successful? Any tips?

Um.... it sounds like you're not ovulating. You'll need to ovulate to get pregnant.

I would check with a doctor, see if there's a reason for no ovulation. There are certainly natural options out there, but a general check up might be in order if you get no periods at all with out the pill.

Definite sounds like you are not ovulating. How long have you allowed yourself to go without the pill to wait out a period? Are you either underweight or overweight?

I agree with Ashley and Sam that going to the doctor is a good idea. He/she should be able to figure out why you are not getting your period.

Talk with Ob/gyn. They may refer you to a RE. GL and KUP!

Well not having a period usually isn't a problem until you start trying to get pregnant. Then you get like me and start wishing you WOULD have a period so your cycle will just end already.

I'm pretty much in the same boat Sam is. I got one really light "sort of" period a couple months after I went off the BCP, but I don't think I O'ed this cycle, and I know I'm not pregnant, so I'm not sure where my AF is. I'm hoping she will come soon so I can start again in earnest and try to catch the next egg.
