I have been reading up on it, has anyone ever tried the soy/clomid combo on here? I have read that you can't take them at the same time because they counter act each other, but if you take the soy cd 1-5(morning), and clomid cd 5-9 (evening), that it will work. I'm thinking about trying it this month just to see, I'm currently CD 39 and no sign of O anywhere around. I'm thinking if I add something else to the mix maybe, just maybe I will ovulate. I just don't understand because I did ovulate on the 50 mg the last time I took it. Did I mention how much I HATE PCOS

I hope the combo works for you!!

I did the soy. Got a bfp. didn't stick, but it worked. I shouldn't have done it though, since I do O normally, just was assuming it was weak.

I did a tapered dose.. I'd have to look it up for you. But I've known many of the MA girls to get sticky babies using it.

*goes to look up dose*

120mg, 160mg, 160mg, 200mg, 200mg

I did days 5-9 since I wanted mature eggs. doing 3-7 would get you MORE eggs (which for some is what they need).

Be prepared to feel like you have multiple tennis balls on each side. Holy geepers it was bad.

Have you tried fertilitea/vitex yet? That also worked for me. (came to find out, my thyroid was so bad that the chance my body wouldn't attack an embryo was slim to none, hence, my more recent losses)

On the clomid: 50mg just might not be enough for you. Hormones fluctuate each month, so one month you may be nice and balanced so the 50 works, the next month you might be unbalanced (hormones.... just clarifying) and you'd need 150mg.

Thanks for the info, I might go ahead and just do soy alone this cycle and just up the dose. Then if it doesn't work at least I know I tried, and I'll still have my clomid plus one more refill of it as well. I understand completely about the thyroid, I have hypothyroidism and it sucks.

Careful with soy and thyroid issues! Soy can suppress your thyroid to the point of non function for a short period of time. Technically we should consume 0 soy for optimal health!

I'd go with a lower dose of soy since you are hypo. no more than 120mg per day. And make sure you're testing... first line on a hpt, get to a doctor for a thyroid level test.

That's the first thing I plan on doing, my OB told me during pregnancy he'd rather me have to much thyroid function then to little because the baby relies on mine the first bit.
