I for sure got a +opk last Tuesday. Now I got an almost positive now at 5:30 p.m. So I didn't ovulate last week?!

Update to include pic from this a.m. Neg HPT this a.m.

I've only ever had one positive OPK, so I'm not sure, but I hope you get your BFP!

1. Pregnant 2. Didn't O the first time and your body is gearing up again 3. Faulty test

How likely is 2? Do you temp? Are you coming off of the pill?

I took an HPT at the same time and it was negative. I've had a good amount of cramping this afternoon/evening, not in any one place but pretty much all over. Even as I lay here in bed right now I'm crampy.

It could have been a faulty test, or maybe I in fact did not ovulate last week. I think it was on Friday (5/3) that I used another OPK just to be sure, and it was very negative. But it's been 1 mo since IUD removal, so I guess anything is possible at this point -- unfortunate as that is. I haven't been temping -- but I just got a thermometer yesterday so I'm starting to now.

I'm going to test in the morning. I hope that I did O last week and this test was just a fluke. I'm not feeling very good tonight and am so not in the mood to DTD. Plus with this ginormous cold sore I'm the opposite of attractive right now.

If you aren't temping then there is a good chance you are fixing to O, because sometimes you can get a positive test and your body can gear up to O and then for whatever reason it doesn't happen. So I would bd tonight for sure.

*hugs*

I'm with Beth... the only thing I can come up with is you didn't actually O last week when you got the positive. Unfortunately that's not uncommon. What's your Cervical Fluid doing?

to the ladies above. Temping is the most reliable way to confirm O, espcially for newbies just getting off bcp. The only way to definitely confirm O is a blood test. Hopefully you O'd last week. GL and KUP!

updated to include pic from this morning. IRL both weren't positive yet. CM is wet/creamy, not like lotiony dollops or anything but (TMI) finger inserted comes out covered in it. neg HPT this a.m. And I'm 7dpo today, or I should say thats what FF was giving me based on data inputted.

all the ladies. Sam laid out all the options pretty well and since you took an HPT at the same time I think you may be gearing up to O. I have had months where my body tried to gear up to O 3 times before actually doing it. Things can be extra confusing when your body is adjusting post bc.

What was this mornings OPK like?

Edit: Oops we posted about the same time I cant see any pics though

Elle here is a link to this mornings: 2544bc51-479e-416d-8915-796a15f33889_zps948c562a.jpg Photo by girlsofsummer1 | Photobucket

I wonder whether I actually O'd yesterday morning or sometime Monday then. I had lots of cramping going on last night, not in any particular place just kind of all over.

Either way, I definitely missed it. Oh well! I started temping yesterday morning, so from now on I'll have a better idea of what's going on.

Thank you all very much for your help -- I should have stayed more grounded to the fact that everything would be wonky this month (and possibly the next few) and not expect anything!

HPT was negative this morning, but if I'm truly 7DPO or around that, it'd be too early anyway.

So I'll test again in a few days. I'm very, very tired again today. Third night in a row that I've slept 9+ hours, in bed by 9:30 p.m. CP is very high, practically unreachable.

As far as being worried that you missed it by not BDing last night (that is if you are gearing up to O now...)... Remember that OPK's show when LH is high, you have about 24-48 hrs after a positive OPK before you actually O.

FX that your body starts sending clearer signals!!!

I started temping just three days ago (Tuesday morning, got the near +OPK later that day).

My temp has fallen since Tuesday. I realize this is probably totally irrelevant since I just started, but thought I'd mention it. Kicking myself that I didn't start sooner!!!

yeah - it is really hard to say anything from temps starting in the middle like that because so much of it is about trending. But it is great to start and get in the habit of taking temps! So *if* you need to again next cycle you will be all ready to go!

Still keeping my Fx for you!
