Have any of you ladies used BBT vaginally to record your temp? I hear you will get a more accurate reading that way....Last month my temps were all over the chart so maybe I should take my temp vaginally?

I have heard ladies discuss this on here before who do temp vaginally. I think this is more accurate especially if you are a mouth breather at night.

I have never bothered just because I started with mouth temping and I didnt even know there was another option. So I just stuck with it.

If you are having some crazy temps it may be worth a try!!! I hope it helps

I tried it because Caitlin suggested it. I thought it was more accurate than taking my temp by mouth.

I'm just doing OPKs right now, though, so I haven't been using my BBT lately.

I should probably temp vaginally since my temps seem to be all over the place. But, I'm on my 3rd cycle, and I am still seeing some patterns form. So, I'm sticking with it.

I just know that if you start a cycle temping vaginally, you have to stick with it. I'm worried I won't be able to.

I think it's really up to you!

I tempt vaginally, though this is my first cycle of tempting. So far, my temp. looks reasonable.

I think it is good to be consistent with where (orally or vaginally) you tempt and the timing.

The only time I felt the temperature was not normal (too high) was a day a had less than a 2 hours sleep.

I am a mouth breather at night, and I think last month I fell back asleep with it in my mouth and my mouth opened. LOL

But I'm actually making myself pay attention and stay awake this month.

Lol that cracks me up that you feel asleep w/ it in your mouth.

So if you get less than three hours of uninterrupted sleep, will your temp reading at the normal time be higher or lower than what it "should" be?
