I took soy this month on CD 3-6. I forgot the final dose on CD 7. I guess it still worked because today is CD 11 and I just got a STRONG positive OPK today around four. I didn't get any progression because it was the first one I used.

Anyhow, so after today I am going to continue taking macca root capsules and add in wild yam root in an attempt to up progesterone. Hopefully this stops the seemingly endless spotting I've been having before AF arrives each month. (Or, you know, results in a BFP... I'll take what I can get).

In other news, on Wednesday I went to go look at a horse. In all the excitement surrounding that, I forgot to call my new GYN ... The one who only has a receptionist on Wednesdays. Ugh. How could I be so careless? I'm so angry at myself.

So that's my update! I hope all you ladies had a wonderful weekend full of festivities and goodness!

YAY for positive opk.

Just a heads up, our bodies can't convert wild yam into progesterone. It has to be done in a lab.

Wild Yam Root and Powder Profile

I was going to take it, but my Dr back home said it was worthless, and told me to stick to cream instead. (speaking of which I need to go find)

I've read that too, about the wild yam.

I'm grasping at straws, here! LOL.

If I ever make it in to see a doctor again, I'll ask for the real deal, but until then I'm stuck doing what I can come up with myself. Sigh.

Emerita progest. I buy it from amazon. I'm trying a different brand this time... but I've used that one in the past at the recommendation of my doctor who had 5 chemicals and didn't want to take the rx option... and then had a healthy baby.

Exciting news about the positive OPK! I hope you don't have to deal with spotting this go-round. That just sounds super annoying!

Thanks Ashley! I'll see what this TWW brings and then hopefully add it to my regime next month. It would be nice to take one less supplement.... I feel like the amount of supplements I take every day is really overwhelming!

Yeah I hear you. My supplements are a meal in themselves everyday. I have to drink 2 full cups of water in the morning just to take the ones I have to take, and then another 2 cups later to get the rest down. While that surely helps with my water intake...it just show how many pills I take in a day.

What's up with Canadian stuff costing 2x as much when the currency is supposedly equal in value. I'm just across the bridge from Windsor... you go and exchange your currency and it's practically 1 to 1, and then a meal that costs $10 stateside is $20 in Canada. You go in a department store and the prices are astronomical. What gives?

Aaaanyway, sorry about the tangent, I'm just complaining on your behalf. I am grateful for the benefit of Amazon's low U.S. prices.

Good luck in the 2WW, I hope you get a BFP at the end of it!

If you figure it out Amy I'm sure the Canadians would LOVE the answer. LOL. I can fill a shopping cart for $80 down here, it's 3-4 bags in Canada...

Basically things never recovered from when the US dollar was worth $1.50 or more in Canada... Companies are just not willing to lower the prices to make them more fair...And Canada can't produce or manufacture it cheap enough because they still have to import something.

I'm a,ways astounded when I cross the border and do groceries. The price of chicken alone boggles me. It is at least double price, same with eggs and most meats.

I try not to cross the border and shop because I know about the whole "support local" movement and as DH and I are farmers, we should REALLY be supporting it. But sometimes a woman needs to spend nine dollars instead of twenty one on a family pack of chicken breasts!

I also start every day with 40 oz of water, which, like you said: great for the water intake! Overall though, it is just exhausting. :S

OT Ashley but do you mind sharing your list? And what do you change during the TWW?
