DH has low count, low motility and low morphology. He is trying clomid, but we are probably going to try IUI soon. Anyone in a similar boat?

My DH has morphology and some motility issues. Clomid is for low testosterone, I'm guessing your DH has that as well. My DH is taking CoQ10, an antioxidant and L-carnitine for his morphology and motility issues. IUI is a good way to go. Hopefully it will work for you! GL and KUP!

Thanks for the reply Nicholle! We have another SA on 7/15 to see if the clomid is helping. We are also taking CoQ10 and a supplement with all the recommended vitamins and minerals. Hopefully one or both of those things will help. GL and babydust to you as well!

For us, its me thats been the problem with a blocked tube. From what I've read you seem to be doing the right things and IUI is likely to be a great next step to make for you both.

I think there were / are some ladies over on the TTCMA board dealing with MFI too if you wanted to swing by that board.

My Dh has also never been tested. While we know fertility can change, his son was concieved while his ex was on birth control... so we know the parts work. LOL.

I figure his counts have lowered due to health issues, as does one of his doctors. But we haven't gotten to the point with an OB for him to have testing done.

How much CoQ10 is everyone taking? I've heard it is wonderful for egg health as well as sperm health. DH and I both take 200 a day, but one article I read noted that the study was done using 1200. I'm always scared to try high doses of these things!

I've been taking 400 this cycle.. usually I take 200. Taking more just makes me see money going down the tubes that I could be saving for MA later if we need it.

I buy a 120 day supply at Sams for $25... and that's the cheapest price I've found.

I think we do 400mg of CoQ10. I also read a thing that said to take it with grapefruit juice - it helps with absorption.

I know this post is old, but I'm wondering if anyone has had success and what everyone has been up to.

We're also dealing with only male factor infertility and will be doing our first IUI this cycle!
