Hi girls, I'm a newbie. Been participating in online forums for ages, but pretty excited to join a TTC/pregnancy one for the first time.

I'm Allison (or Ally, whatever you prefer) and DH and I are TTC #1 (have chart in siggy). Thought I'd join on in here!

Nope! This is our first cycle, my first time charting. Picked up Taking Charge of your Fertility a few months ago, read up on everything (huge researcher) and decided to chart and temp our first cycle. Was gonna just go with the flow for a bit, but decided not to. Was hoping by charting and temping, I'd see what was going on right away... so hopefully that helps a bit.

Well you did a great job temping for your first month, nice lines on the chart. New charts often look like mountain ranges with spikes in temps.

I have TCOYF too, its a great read. I hope it helps you get your BFP soon!

Thanks so much!
I wasn't on birth control beforehand, I know that can make cycles kinda crazy. I know I ovulate, etc.. so I guess my cycle is pretty "average", if that makes sense.

A 13 day LP (luteal phase) is pretty good...do you plan on testing or just waiting till AF shows?

I did this morning, was negative.
I think my period is on the way I just starting getting some cramps this evening. They feel like my usual ones.. I usually cramp 2-3 days before I actually get it. I'm not feeling pregnant? Not that I know what it feels like lol.

Edited to add.. that would make my LP 15-16 days, if AF comes when I expect. I read it's usually 12-14 days, is there anything "bad" about having a longer one?

A quick google search suggests that up to 16 days is totally normal - that over 16 might be a cause for concern. It might mean that you would have to wait longer for a positive pregnancy test, but not necessarily. A short luteal phase is generally more of a problem than a long one.
