was advised to move thread here due to being more active

hey im new here and would like some advice.

background:

im 23 my oh 27 we been ttc since december 2012 for our first child, using FF and Getbaby app at moment

was on cerazette for 2 years previously and was told by dr that body should be back to normal within 4-8 weeks after stopping pill but obvo no luck as of yet

cycles have been a lil irregular (ranging from every 25-29 days) and BD from moment i come off to moment i come on.

tried every day, every 2 days and even tried SMEP over the last 8 months.

has anyone else been on cerazette and experiencing the same?

any help/similar experiences greatly appreciated as at moment feeling like a slight failure :-(

Hello and welcome! I try the mroe homeopathic methods so I can't help you on the cerazette. Your cycles do not seem irregular. I was irregular for awhile and that is when you have cycles that vary from one month being 25 days, the next 45 , the next 33 and etc. etc. My cycles now average from 33-35 days and that is normal for me per my OB.

Those are all random numbers by the way.

Hi, welcome to the board! If youre using FF to do have a link to your chart so we can have a look? It will help if we can see whether you are actually ovulating or not? You can have fairly regular cycles - which yours seem to be- without actually O'ing and without that there's no way youll get pregnant.

I'm not sure who told you about it only taking a matter of weeks for your body to regulate after coming off birth control but it can actually take months - upto 6 months or even longer in some cases. I wouldnt worry too much just yet

yeah... it can actually take up to 18 months for all the side effects of birth control to fully leave your system, regardless of which kind you take. Doesn't mean you can't get pregnant before then, but usually the cells that make cervical fluids take the longest to bounce back and produce true fertile mucus. Your doctor was very misleading in what he said to you.

your cycles aren't irregular... some of them are a little short yes.

Seeing your charts would help us see if we can find any issues that might be popping up that our veteran eyes see (some of us have been here a long time).

to the board!! I am Elle

I agree with the other ladies if we can get a peek at your chart we can probably be more helpful. It took my body about 6ish months to regulate after coming off of birth control - I agree what your doctor said is misleading.

I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Tez

If you go onto the FF website, go to the Sharing tab, click on 'get code' and then copy and paste the bb code into your message. It should work!

Welcome! I know that you will love this board. We have a great group of supportive ladies here.

I was on BCP for about 10 years, and it took several months for my body to regulate.

I dont use Forum runner so no suggestions there i'm afraid, hmmm...if you're mobile site looks like mine you should have a button-like option called 'more' if you click on that then scroll down, you should have an option to go to the 'full site'. From there you should be able to find the bb code

Unfortunately that wont help us figure out whether your O'ing or not :-( Temps are the best thing, other than that using OPKs (but these cant guarantee you O'd, only that your hormones surged and tried to O) and tracking your CM (cervical mucous, but again this cannot guarantee whether you O'd)

Your BD (baby dancing) schedule seems pretty good though so if you are Oing you stand a good chance of catching that eggie!

Do you take your basal body temperature?

You may have to be on your comp to share your fertility friend chart.

edit* just saw Jen mentioned the temping as well and just wanted to throw a on what she said

I would just add that it can take a normal, fertile couple a year to conceive. I know it can be hard, but try not to worry too much yet!
