Ever since I started TTC i've been paying close attention to my symptom. I went off the pill in April, got married in May, don't remember when i had my period in June, but I know i had it around July 4th weekned. Then I got it again on August 20th, it ended Aug 25th. I've only recently started keeping track of my fertile days. I know we BD'ed on sept 1, 3 and 4th...which were all prime days supposedly. I am now due for my period in 8 days. Over the weekend I had cramping. This seems early. I also felt like i had cramping when i was ovulating. If my period is early does this mean that I had sex on days that were in fact not my fertile days?

There's a chance that the cramping was ovulation. You're CD20 by my rekoning, as you've not been off the pill long, there's a chance you're body is still regulating. The app you're likely using is guessing that your fertile days are around CD14 which is 'common' but not definate for each woman. If your TTC and not tracking ovulation any other ways, my best advice is to try and BD every other day from the end of AF to when AF starts again. That way, you'll have your bases covered.

that's a good idea to sex every other day from when AF ends to when it next begins. Thanks.

No problem. It'll definately help to take some of the guess work out of it. Plus DH's are always happy to oblige

Jen! The cramping could be ovulation cramping and you are Oing later than you thought. Also if your period is early than I would think you did miss your fertile window. But if it is AF showing at CD20 then that is pretty early. If I was using one of the apps that guestimates O based on the average woman (which I was when we first started TTC) I dont think we would ever have gotten pregnant because my fertile window was always wrong by about 7-11 days. It can take your body a little bit of time to regulate after coming off of BCP as well so you may have a few irregular cycles along the way.

I hope you get your BFP soon!!!

all the nerves down there are semi interconnected. So if one thing hurts, you can get cramps.

I always get cramps shortly after O... I assume it's the Corpus leutem having some aches.

I experienced cramps both times just mild cramps - my doc says that some mild cramping in early pregnancy is normal. I think they usually begin after 14 DPO or so. Everyone is different though and experiences different things.
