AF showed today Okay so I have my BBT ready to use once she is gone and my OPKs as well. Besides a prenatal is there any supplements I should begin taking to help with anything? I read that EPO helps with CM but is there anything that helps aid implantation or lining?

Just my two cents and Im sure some may disagree...
But don't fix what isn't broken
Stick to a prenatal....if you end up having trouble conceiving 6months down the road then maybe you can look into other things but for now (sorry I dont remember how long you have been trying) just give it a go the old fashion way...

Reason for my thinking is because I WAYYYY over did it on my first cycle and it ended in a miscarriage....maybe it was from all the extra crap I was taking and doing, maybe not

But anyways, like I said, just my opinion

My doctor also suggests sticking to just prenatal vitamins in the beginning. Certain things like EPO and Vitex can end up throwing off your cycle. I do think they have their uses in the right circumstance but I think it takes time to know what that is. To start your TTC journey I would suggest the prenatals with a healthy diet and exercise. I have read that eating pineapple core can help with implantation but to be honest I have not looked too much into it - but I know some ladies on here have tried that (and I dont think that would affect your cycle too much). I agree with Ari - just my opinion but I think I would start off with a few cycles of charting and see where you are at before adding anything else to the mix.

You sound ready to go with your BBT and OPKs Fx it gets you your BFP soon!!!

I agree with the other ladies that a prenatal is probably the way to go. If you want to take anything else, I'd recommend discussing it with your doctor first.

Just a quick note about pineapple core...make sure you read the recommended way of taking it..I didn't do my research and was having like a whole core a day (which you are supposed to have 1 core split over 5 days after o) and I was eating one every day! Got my bfp but was ectopic....idk my crazy situation is definitely not everyone's but it has made me wary of things like that. But do your own research and ask you Dr and decide was is right for you
Ditto to Elle ..hope this cycle brings you your bfp!

Well, I'm probably the resident supplement queen here so I'll add a few cents and some recommendations.

1- Do not do anything until you've been off all hormones at least 6 months. And then only take what you need.

2- Do not do anything with out researching heavily. You have to compare all supplements and medications together and see which ones react together

3- Don't take something to make it happen faster, wait until you know if there is a problem.

4- If you want something to take now, buy real folic acid (L-methylfolate) and take that with your prenatal.

Basically.. don't go into things thinking something is wrong unless you have a real reason to think that there is (for example, I'd already lost 10 babies before dh and I even ttc.. I had reason to think something might not work out). It takes the average couple 1 year to get pregnant, some less, some more. (and those who are more... often need help anyway).

If you want to take something to feel like you're doing something... try a B vitamin complex (one with out folic acid, go for vitamin c or calcium based) and drink lots of water. You can also use Pre-seed for lube during your fertile times. But I'd skip on Vitex for quite a while, and skip it entirely if you O on your own between cd 12 and cd 18.
Jen@FirsAve and momology like this.

All the wonderful advice already given. Good luck with temping, try not to get discouraged if it looks wonky for your first cycle or if you forget to temp in a morning. It can take a couple of cycles for it to become part of your daily routine!
