I know in light of my first post that it may seem weird for me to be already asking a testing question, but here is why:
As I mentioned in my other post, my AF has been different this time. Besides coming 4 days sooner than I had expected it based on my PMS symptoms - it has been much lighter than normal for me. Normally my AF is very heavy the first few days and then tapers off to spotting on day 7. My first two days were very light (more like the end of my normal cycle), day 3 (yesterday) was a bit heavier, but still light (more like when my flow starts to taper down) and today is very light again. At least I am saving on tampons and pads this month! I suspect with the way it is going it will end tomorrow (so I have 5 days instead of my usual 7). So hopefully that all makes sense.
Well anyway, my hubby thinks I shold take a HPT. I am not sure: like I said it is so much lighter than I am used to, but I don't know if that qualifies under the "lighter than normal" I keep reading when refering to IB. I did buy a couple of tests. So I guess my questions are: do you think I should take one? And if so, when should I take it? The instructions on the tests all refer to your expected AF (either before you expect it or after your missed AF). Thanks for your help!
Thanks everyone - I did take a test today - BFN Oh well - I am hoping it was just the stress I went through the last month that made my system out of wack. We are starting to do some serious trying (we weren't before this). So I am doing the temperature thing and will be tracking my CM. So hopefully next month will be better.
