Hello, I was on this board only just recently. Unfortunately I was about 6 wks along when I mc on Thursday. So, like my title says, it's back to this board for me. BUT at least I know that I can get prego, so things aren't too bad. And I know what it feels like to be prego so if anyone has q's about what it feels like I can tell you first hand. Just thought I'd let you know....

So sorry to hear about your loss. It is so great that you are looking at this situation in a positive way. I don't think most people would be able to do that! I am not sure that I would be able to! Hopefully it won't be long before you get another bfp!!! Baby dust to you!

I am so sorry that you are going through that. Is your progesterone too low? Sometimes it just happens because. I hope that it is not long before you get a BFP and are happy and not scared. Many women go on to never have a miscarriage again. I hope that is what happens for you. Take care and best wishes-

Nicole

What is the deal with progesterone being too low. That could very possibly be my problem. I mc 2 weeks ago and I was about 8 or so weeks along (I didn't get to my first dr's appt). I usually (well before the mc) don't have AF for MONTHS...as in 3-4 at a time. When they took my blood they said my FSH was too low and my LH was high/normal. They give me progesterone to get AF running again.

So how does progesterone effect pg? Could that be the reason I mc?

Thanks!
Farah

You need a good level of progesterone to support a pregnancy. But, progesterone will also cause you to start your period if you haven't ovulated or if you haven't conceived. My progesterone was really too low to support my pregnancy, (though there's no way to know for sure if THAT's the reason I m/c'd). I am armed with a supplement for this cycle!

Hope that helps.

Well I would bet that that was my problem then. My progesterone is always low which is why I don't ovulate and have a period. IT only surges up once in a rare while and gives me AF.

What supplements are you on? My dr's don't take me very seriously (I don't feel) because I'm "young" (24 next week). So I think I have to find a way to do this myself. Thanks for the info....PM me if you want!

Hey FerrariAngel,
Might I suggest looking in to new doctors! I'm young as well (24) and I have great doctors. I just know that any doc who is not supportive now, probably will not change once you are PG, and that is NO GOOD! I know that when you're younger it's hard to be picky about doctors, with insurance/no insurance issues, but I think for your sake and your future baby's sake, it's really important.
Good luck on TTC to all!
