Hello,

I'm new here and just got married in May. We started trying immediately and are very excited about the whole thing. I hope it doesn't take too long but the practice sure is fun!

Hi, welcome to the board! I hope you like it here and that your stay will be brief. I am in my 5th cycle of trying. Congratulations on your marriage! I will be married next month and can't wait until the ceremonies are over. I am not looking forward to the wedding itself.

Good luck with getting a BFP!

Hi... Thanks for the welcome!! I actually want a long stay, I still chat at the bridal website even after the wedding! So how much of a let down is it when you are trying and then you get your period? It must be hard not letting your hopes go up too high!

Why aren't you looking forward to your big day?

Tried to PM you, but it says that there is a problem with you recieving PMs. Anyway, I hate things centered around me. Around 200 people were invited and I really don't want to share my emotions with all these people. Does that make sense?

Having a wedding because fiance's mother is so excited. They almost lost him last year to a brain tumor, so I couldn't be selfish and go to the justice of the peace.

Now, I am faced with a bridal shower in two weeks given by my DH's mother. Yuck! At least they will make it a "Card Party." No gifts will be given, just cards which I like. I have a problem accumulating 'stuff' so his mom suggested this method.

How was your wedding?

Congrats on your wedding and welcome to JM. This is mine and DH's 2nd month officially trying - we were married just last January.

Georgia - I completely understand how you feel - I really didn't like the whole "center of attention" thing myself. When my friends wanted to throw me a shower at church, I asked for it to be a co-ed shower that way DH could be in the spotlight too - my niece also through me a shower, but it was a small one with close family and friends. For the wedding, since we had a renaissance themed wedding - DH and his groomsmen also had to march down, which made it feel less like I was the center of attention for me. I relaxed more at the reception, but the ceremony was nerve-wacking.

Good luck and lots of baby dust to all!

Hi,

The wedding was wonderful and pretty laid back, a ceremony in Cuba with only 19 people. My parents are hosting a reception at their house July 2nd though for everyone who couldn't make it to the wedding but at least I get to wear my dress again!

This is only my first cylce of trying but I did the pregnancy test the other day that you can take four days before your period and it was negative, my period is due on Thursday, so I told my hubby that we will have to practice more!
