I was just wondering if anyone here has had an ectopic pregnancy. I think I might be going through one. I just had my U/S today and it doesn't look good. I haven't spoke with my doctor yet but I talked to the tech. who said they could not see a baby, but they could not rule out ectopic pregnancy. I was worried that this may be what was going on with me, I'm so upset. My blood test came back very weak yesterday however it still gave me some hope. Now I know I'm probably pregnant however won't actually be able to have it. Does anyone know what exactly the procedure is when you find out you are caring any ectopic baby. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Man I'm soooo mad.

I just went through a mc, and they questioned an ectopic because they could not see anything on us, but my numbers were not high enough to see anything. In order to see anything on US your numbers have to be 2000 or higher. If you numbers start to go up and down, they may continue to question ectopic, but if they keep going down you are probably okay. That is what they told me. Some signs of ectopic are: Pain that gets worse when you are active or cough, shoulder pain (usually right shoulder), abdominal or pelvic pain, or back pain. Those are some of the signs that I was told about. Hope things turn out alright. I know how hard it is to get through a mc.

Thank you so much for your reply, I really appreciate it. By numbers what are you talking about, bloodwork?? I have no pain at all but I'm keeping an eye out for it. I really hope I don't have to go through an ectopic pregnancy. I read that following an ectopic women have 30% more difficulty getting pregnant in the future and are more likely to have another ectopic. I don't want that, I just want to be pregnant. I'm praying that possibly I am just too early to show anything on the US. Thanks again.

I just had an ectopic in November.. My HCG levels were rising, but not enough (they're supposed to double every other day). I had pain on my right side that got bad enough that it warranted a trip to the ER. This was AFTER i had an ultrasound at the OB office where they could not visualize anything in my uterus, so they told me I had a miscarriage and sent me home. I was home with 10 days with this pain. So I got to the ER, they did an ultrasound, they couldn't see anything (not even a gestational sac) in my uterus but my level was 1900. They looked in my tube and also saw nothing.. the DR wanted to do laproscopic surgery, so I agreed. Sure enough the fetus was embedded in my right fallopian tube and had to be removed. Feel free to PM me if you need anything... or have any questions.. the normal procedure is to do laproscopic surgery to prevent your tube from bursting and losing your tube and ovary. Hope things go okay for you but if you need to talk, i'm here
