Yesterday after we did the grocery shopping and were in the chemist getting my period cramp pain killers i was looking at the digital OPKs and i don't know if it was marked wrong on the tag or if it was the legit price but i had to grab on to Buddy to stop myself from falling over.... they were 60 freakin dollars. I about died. Then i looked at another one and they were even worse 95 freakin dollars ***?!?! I seen the same thing in the supermarket for ALOT cheaper then what they were charging.

I was about to go over to the cashier and say "You have got to be kidding me, your charging that price for OPKS when the supermarkets have them for ALOT cheaper and no where near 60 - 95 dollars" Come on now. I'm not buying OPKS but i was looking and it almost put me in an early grave.

I just hope they were marked wrong because if they aren't then they are such rip offs. And get this, the discount chemist i went to last week to buy my box of tests they had the exact same BBT i have for just 16 dollars, but the chemist i was at yesterday who had the overly priced OPKS were charging 20 dollars which is what i paid for mine. If i knew that the discount chemist had it for cheaper i would have gone there to buy my BBT.

What rip offs. Didn't help that i was PMSing hard yesterday.

I just had to go look at prices after you posted this. I don't know what the conversion rate is, but this site has the Clearblue digitals for $39.95. http://www.pregnancystore.com/clearblue_ea...lation_test.htm There can't be that much of a difference between our money. What a rip-off that store you went to is!

Ah those are the ones that they were priced 60 dollars. Whether they had two or seven tests, they are still a rip off. I think im gonna go to the discount chemist from now on They are bigger with more products and alot more cheaper.

That is RIDICULOUS. I'm not paying ten times as much just to see a smiley face instead of lines!

I feel the same way about digital pregnancy tests, though. I only bought them once I had a for-sure positive already, just to show DF. He's not good with the line interpretation, but a big electronic display that says PREGNANT, he understands! If he hadn't wanted to see it, I wouldn't have bought them at all.

I have gotten HPTs from both Woolworths and Coles. I think it may depend on which one you go to, but each one i've gone to they are right next to the condoms and the lubricant I know, they don't have them anywhere other then the supermarket or the chemist. We don't have a dollar store over here, which i think would be helpful, since from what you girls have said, they are cheap. Other then Cole, Woolworths and the Chemist, i haven't seen anyother place that sell HPTs. I doubt, Kmart or Target would sell them, if they do have them somewhere, i haven't seen them.

Woolworths don't have as big of a selection for HPTs either, they really only have 3 brands of tests, FRER, clearblue digital and Forelife. Coles is pretty much the same, but they have two different kinds of forelife tests, the instream tests and the strip test.

OPKS at woolies and Coles aren't always there either, they are mixed in with the HPTs. I think Aus is lacking more brands of HPTs. We need more brands. The Chemist have other brands, i seen them at the dicount chemist i went to last week which is where i picked up another brand that i never used before. The other supermarkets like Franklins and Aldi don't supply them either i don't think. Its mainly just Woolies and Coles and the Chemist. They need to get with the program and get more HPTs.
