Day 4 of TTC....

Hmm...So I think I *may* have caught the egg yesterday when I ovulated....maybe....maybe not. Anyway, I'm taking a photography class at college. Icky chemicals spilled on my hands! I'm wondering if that could be a bad thing....?

Also, I guess I should give up my nightly glass of wine right about now...right?

I felt really weird when my friends invited me out for a beer Thursday, and I told them, "Yeah, call me!" And then I said, "Um, I think I may be on the wagon right now, but I'll let you know." They are guy friends, and they had no clue. They just looked at me oddly. That is quite unlike me. (I'm not THAT much of an alcoholic....just so you know.... )

It's weird...I just have this feeling that it's not going to happen. I want it to happen, but it's hard to believe that it could. It's that thing I've always wanted, and I can't believe we're actually TTC.

I almost feel like "Oh go ahead, have the wine, I'm not going to get pregnant anyway."

I'm such a newbie at this!

Totally makes sense. TTC is a roller coaster!! My only advice is try not to set your hopes super high that it will happen right away. I to thought it would, and here i am getting ready to go into my 5th month. Not saying it wont happen for you, but that chance on taking it a bit longer is there. I wish you the best and a quick BFP!

I would give up drinking until you know if your prego. Better to be safe than sorry.

TTCing is a wild and crazy rollar coaster ride that is for sure. If you think there is a chance you are pregnant, then I would play it safe and stay away from drinking (may be get a virgin version of a drink or have a soda). Good luck hun! Hope you get a BFP soon.

Thanks for the replies. Yup, I have sworn off all alcoholic beverages, but I can't seem to give up my coffee--yet!

Me too, the coffee thing...not sure I'll ever be able to stop that habit. It just depends on what your doctor and you agree on. I work for a doctor, not an OB/GYN, but she's from a family full of physicians and has two of her own. She said she did her morning coffee throughout her pregnancies.
I usually try to back off a bit after O to AF/BFP time.

Actualy I have heard a cup of coffee isn't really too bad. I think I even read somewhere once that it wasn't a good idea to give up caffine cold-turkey because it could mess up your system.
