Here's my first, I am sure of many, issues I am having.
I am coming off the BCP in 2 days. My final pack before embarking on a journey that I have thought about forever.
My doctor gave me 3 different kinds of prenatal vitamins to take.
1. Is there a difference in all three of them ?
2 are one a day's and the 3rd is an 'AM' dose and a 'PM' dose.
2. Let's hypathetically say that i come of the BCP in 3 days, last night was the first prenatal vitamin i have ever put in my body.........the doctor says he would rather i have a 2-3 month span of vitamins and normal cycles........is it bad if i happen to get pregnant before that ?
It's not like i am unhealthy by any means at all. I go to the gym 4-5 times a week.
I eat like a champ, dont smoke, dont drink much at all.
I am excited but I am scared to death for this new experience.
Hello and welcome to JM and the the TTC #1 board. We are happy your found us.
There shouldn't be a problem if you get pregnant in the next couple/few months from a health stand point, but your doctor is probably advising waiting a few cycles to get your body used to regulating itself again (it takes time getting off b/c) and during that time it is a great time to get your body ready with the vitamins. It can take time to conceive coming off b/c, but there are a lucky few that do get pregnant right off the bat.
I take a over-the-counter prenatal vitamin, so I am sorry I don't know what to tell you about yours.
Good luck and lot's of baby dust. May your ttc journey be short and sweet!
