he is useless in an emergency!!

The estate where we live has been without power since 8:45pm tonight and as soon as the electricity went off he started to panic all i heard was what should we do, who should we ring?? Im so glad im a calm person - i just found the matches and lit the candles!

I dread to think what he would do in a real emergency!

Its back on now and im so glad, it was getting cold as the heating went of as well.

He is such a wimp at times!! I know i often moan about him but i do think he might have some anxiety problems. He often lets the slightest of things get to him and he panics. He is a workaholic so that causes him stress and when he's stressed he shows OCD tendencies. I have talked to him about it and he does agree.

He sounds like me Clare. I take Prozac and I've been so much better since I got on it. I tried controlling it on my own, but I couldn't do it.

I am very glad that William is a calm guy. I tend to get very anxious and stressed out if things don't go 'right', so he is always there to bring me back to earth!

That's pretty funny. Hopefully he wouldn't be so lost if you had a real emergency.

he sounds like me too!! I get very nervous, stressed and anxious when things don't go right either! I would freak out, not about the lights going out but in other emergencies or certain situations! I'm glad Steven is calm and tries to talk me down!

Clare- Mu DH would be pretty much useless in an emergency at times too. He just sits there going, everything will be OK. Sure, after we (insert correct emergency remedy here) happens. He drives me crazy sometimes! LOL. I'm glad your power is back on and you are warming up!

Clare, I am just giggling!! My DH would probably roll over and go to sleep!! I am glad that your power came back on before you had to take extreme measure with DF!! What in the world is he going to do when you go into LABOR?!?!?

Cris, you are too, too, hilarious!! My DH sounds like yours. I don't really get all crazy or anything, but, sometimes I just wish that he would take initiative and look into the problem!! I end up doing it, I guess if I left it up to him, we would just be "DONE"!! KWIM!

I know what you mean... I really wish he'd just be able to do certain things without direction from me. Then when I try to help him by suggesting how to do something he gets angry. Ok dude, you can't have it both ways... do it and do it right, or admit you have no clue and ask for help! LOL
