Hey girls, I'm so glad this got started he because it made me feel even worse about everything to have to leave this forum....Anyway I'm Nikki and DH is Paul. We've been married 11 years and I've been off bc for 8 yrs. At first we just thought I would go off the pill and if it happened then great but not really get worried about "trying". So we continued on that way several years until we decided to get some help b/c of very irregular cycle's. I went on clomid for several months about 5 yrs ago with no luck but we weren't ready to go onto anything else. As a matter of fact we said that we would not go to any extreme measures to have a baby. Well March 2006 we found out that DH had a zero sperm count. Needless to say we were DEVASTATED, it was just such a blow. In March 2009 we decided to look into IVF b/c there is a specialist in our area that helped to create th ICSI procedure witha group from Belgium so we thought if there was any hope for us then that's were we needed to go. We finally did our IVF/ICSI/TESE in May/June of this year with very bad outcome for both of us. Paul went through all his surgery for nothing because they unfortunatly not able to find any sperm and I hyperstimulated severely asn was hospitalized for 4 days afterward. So after all that it has brought us to the journey of adoption. We are going through a nationwide christian based agency, we basically are done with all the extensive paperwork and then we have a training class in Feb. then they will do our homestudy, after that we will get a profile together and them hopefully we will have a birthmom choose us for their baby. It's been a long dissappointing road and I'm ready for something to finally work out for us.....does anyone else feel that way?

I just wanted to say hi and I'm new to the adoption forum (but not the TTCMA forum).

My DH and I have a 5 year old DS and have been trying for 4 years for #2, incl. injectibles last year. We are now moving on to adopting from foster care. Our education courses start next week and then our homestudy will be late spring, early summer.

I look forward to sharing in everyone's journey.
