Tomorrow night is our first class in our "Safe Babies" course. It's a 5 week course (every Wed. for 2.5 hours) for people pre and post adoption and covers everything from bringing baby home to attachment issues, infant CPR and a special focus on issues surrounding babies with prenatal drug or alcohol exposure. This course costs us $200 but at least now I feel like we're doing something. The beginning of March we start our "Adoption Education Program" which is a mandatory part of the adoption process. The waiting is always the worst - whether it be waiting for AF to show or to POAS or for b/w results or for the next step in the adoption journey, waiting SUCKS. Patience might be a virtue but it's one virtue I don't have.
I'm trying to focus on other things right now - my weightloss goals, finances, trying to save to buy a house, etc. I seem to have so much on my mind right now that I feel like I'm spinning in one spot and can't seem to get started in any one direction . . .
Oh well, time to get to bed. Hope all is well with you ladies and I'll let you know how the course goes.
