Hey girls!

Ive noticed noone has updated lately..ill give you an update on our situation...

I want everyone to know that by no means is this replacing the child we soo badly want to have of our own..we just have soo much love to give we want to give that love to a child in need!! We do intend on continuing treatment!

Anywho..

I have mentioned a few times that we are going to do the foster adoption..well right now we are in our 4th (counting the AZ class 5th) class of the mapps class...we just went to our agency to turn in our paperwork this morning! We did our fingerprints back in mid May..so thats taken care of..now all we have to do is our Adam Walsh paperwork!!

So when we went in today..our licensing worker told us that in the next couple of weeks we will be doing our homestudy!

..Already? Is this normal? and how quick do you get certified after everything is done with?

The only problem we are having is with DH being military they are telling us we have to change our drivers liscense to AZ when we are from TX. If we do that..wont it change our residency? If it does then we would have to pay state tax and back taxes..b/c in Texas you dont pay state tax...oh i hope this doesnt interfere with anything!!

Hey Jessie! I'm so excited for you and Santos... what an incredible journey you guys have started!

Our home study came up really quick after we got all the paperwork turned in. We just stayed on them because we really wanted it done right away so we could start the process of searching for a match.

As far as the residency thing goes, I have no clue! I can see why they would need you to change your DL but that would really stink to have to pay back state taxes... yikes!

As for me, there really isn't much of an update. We are still on the waiting list to get into the actual book. In the mean time we have handed out our cards to a LOT of people and are just waiting and praying that someone calls us!

I'm excited to be on the journey with you Jessie!!!

Aww..thanks Kari! im excited to be on this journey with you too!! I just know you will get that call soon..ive been praying for you girl!! Thats soo exciting!!

We think we might have figured it out! we are going to the dmv tomorrow to find out more info!! Thank goodness!

I cant wait to hear that you get the call!! ive been following your story!! soo happy for you and your dh!!

Well i think we did! we called the dmv and they said we could just get a state id!! We called the licesning worker and she said we have been racking our brains all morning thinking about you guys..lol!!

(aww they wanna help us..lol) so she said she was going to double check and see if we could do that!! it would help soo much..so we might be over this hurdle!! i hope so!!

UPDATE!! We dont have to change our license!! it can stay Texas and it will work!! yay!! Thanks for askin!!
