I stop posting on JM a while ago and I lurk every so often. But I think I am ready to come back and this is my new home.

Tony & I are adopting... I took some time to get healthier (I've lost over 123 pounds) and deal with all the feelings of not getting pregnant. In June, I just knew it was time so we made contact with an state agency. We started all the paperwork and started with the classes, we need 2 more to finish and we are scheduled for one on 10/30. On Wed. 10/21, we had our homestudy and it went really well. Our adoption specialist pretty much gave us a thumbs up on everything but one thing, which we knew would be an issue... our pool. But we just need to put a fence around it and were good. (which we were planning on doing anyway.)

Anyway, just want to update you all.

Welcome back! i remember you!! CONGRATS on all the weight loss..that is AWESOME!!! We too have decided to adopt..(we arent giving up on ma though) and we are going through the foster care system..we are just waiting for our adoption paper work and we are set! Congrats on you decision to adopt! i wish you the very best!

Hey Esmy!!! It's just awesome to see you here And congrats again and again on all of your weight loss... it's truly amazing!
