And then someone compares it to female genital mutilation.
Ironically, I just re-found this subject in the Bible today in church. The pastor was reading in the middle of Galatians 5, but in the beginning of the chapter it was talking about how circ-ing or not doesn't matter for Christians because we're not bound by the old laws.
Both of my boys are circ'd. I was given information when I was pregnant with them and I made the decision that I thought was best for my sons based on the information I was given by doctors, nurses, and the all-knowing interwebs.
Based on newer information I have found, if #5 is a boy, there is a good possibility he will not be circ'd. I'm still waiting to see what the CDC says, and still researching.
I don't think there is a cut and dry right or wrong answer. I know that as a parent I have to make tough decisions, and my kids might resent some of those decisions. I resent my parents for some of their parenting decisions, but they did what they thought was right at the time. That's how parenting goes.

I think as long as it stays civil it won't get reported and thus won't get closed. I don't think the mods hover in here waiting for us to talk about a taboo subject.
