I am just seeing if this is something that others would think is okay to do...

As you all know, Tony is not my daughters father. We have been together nearly 4 years, and have known each other since before we had kids. He has a 10 year old, Lily is 7. The kids love each other, and while his son doesn't call me Mom and Lily doesn't call him Dad, they are "our" kids.

I love taking pictures and have tons and tons of pictures of the kids together and our family outings. I want to make Tony a collage for fathers day of all of our pictures. Is it taboo to include pics of Lily? Or should I stick to just his son? Someday we will get married and he will adopt Lily, but I am not sure she will ever call him Dad. That's okay though, I just don't know if it's wrong to include both kids on the collage.

Thoughts?

You don't have to call a person mom/dad to consider them a parent. If you both are raising her/them as a family unit then I don't see any problem with it.

K, that's what I thought. Just didn't know if it was something considered taboo to do. There are some super cute pics of the kids together, and I thought it would be good to make a collage out of them

Although Tony may not be Lily's biological father, she's still a huge part of his life. I definitely think you should include her in photos. I think it would hurt his feelings if you didn't, like maybe he'd think you didn't look at him as an integral part of raising her.

Although you each have your own children outside of 'your' relationship, you're all a family now.

Go for it. It sounds like a beautiful idea.

I think he would be offended if you didn't include her. DH is the only father my eldest has known. If I were to do something centered around his kids and didn't include her, he would be hurt.

So is not the father to my 3 minions. One thinks he is the daddy 100%. One calls him daddy on and off, and one calls him daddy about 25% of the time. But he is the male figure in their life. They love him to death and he loves them. If my ex would let him, he would adopt them when we get married... but my ex, even though he rarely sees them will never give them up because in his family it is a status thing. He does not pay child support either.

For Christmas I had a mug made. It has pictures of all the minions on it plus a few of his cats. He LOVED it.

For father's day I am thinking of making him a plate with all their hand prints on it.

I would include her. He loves her.

Those sound like awesome ideas! I love little home-made presents like that, hence me wanting to make a collage

So its decided then, I'll include them both. I started compiling the photos last night, I just need to get them all printed now

You can have them done at Walgreens. I looked online for a coupon code and got 40% off. It is awesome. I picked the one that did 20 pictures on the mug.
