Copy and pasting this...

The lap went very well. I arrived at 7:30am and was home by 1:30pm. My Dr. was very pleased with the outcome. He found only 2 spots of Endo, and is labeling it stage 2. He removed those, did a dye test on my tubes, and drilled my ovaries. He also did a D&C, as well as burning the pre-cancerous cells off of my cervix. I have 3 incisions. One is 1 inch, directly below my belly button. The other 2 are 1/2 an inch, one below my panty line to the left, one above my panty line to the right. I saw them for the first time about an hour ago while cleaning and re-dressing them. The big one looks pretty creepy, my belly looks a bit deformed there, lol. I slept a lot yesterday, and was able to have a jamba juice for "lunch" and potato soup and crackers for dinner. My Dr. gave me a new fancy pain killer that doesn't make you nauseous or constipated. Loving it! I slept fairly well last night, other than being woken up every 3 hours for meds, lol. I'm able to sleep on my side comfortably, which is nice since I'm a tummy sleeper.

Anyway, that was long...I'm doing great. I can walk at normal posture as long as I remember, and it's actually less painful than hunching.

Looking forward to my post-op next wednesday. We got pictures of the procedure, but at the appt we will get to see the video. I think he'll be putting me on 6 months of Lupron, but we'll see next week

Thank-you for your T&P's ladies!!!

I'm so glad the surgery went well and you're feeling better. Although reading that the doctor "drilled your ovaries" did make me cringe a little. lol

When I had my surgery back in March, the only pain that was problematic for me was the "extra air." Nothing that was operated on really hurt that bad, but they don't get all the air out after having inflated your abdomen for the lap. For a few days afterward, it felt like a ginormous fart rumbling around my tummy that couldn't be farted out. lol

Other than that, our reproductive organs can heal relatively quickly and I bet you'll feel fine in about a week. Congrats on a successful surgery.

I feel that same rumbling fart feeling, lol. Thankfully in my pre-surgery research I read that people recommended taking Gas-X regularly after surgery. That has really helped. I don't feel or look quite as filled up with gas today. I actually feel good enough that I'm going to go to school tomorrow. I'm just having someone drive me since I'm still on pain killers.

Oh jeez, I didn't even think of Gas-X in my unexpected misery. All I could do was writhe around and rejoice at even the smallest burp or fart for 2 days. I'm glad you had the foresight to look that up, and that you're doing so well.

Glad to hear you're doing well! Hopefully the surgery got all the naughty cells off your cervix and cleared up the endo!

Hopefully you heal fast and you can be on the road to your Rainbow Baby!
