Yesterday I was walking into the grocery store with my Mom and we saw a lady selling these adorable black puppies. There was this little puff ball dog that was just adorable. The lady said that if she couldn't sell the puppies she was going to put the dogs to sleep because she couldn't afford them anymore. They were chow, beagle, and lab mixes. They were only 30$, to cover the costs of deworming them and food. Well this little puffy dog was just adorable. We called my stepdad and Lily over from the car and they fell in love. He is almost 7 weeks old, and SO sweet! We normally don't buy dogs from people like that, and we wanted another sheltie. Additonally, the sheltie we do have is REALLY protective of Lily and doesn't like to "share" her. He is her dog and really doesn't like to split time with her. The last time we tried to bring home a shelter dog he wasn't having it at all and freaked out and we couldn't adopt the pup because Cody just wouldn't put up with another dog at all.

Well we asked if she would hold this dog for us and she wouldn't, but this other family wanted the same dog so we got their number just in case our dog didnt like this puppy. So we got the doggie and brought him home.

Surprisingly, our dog loves him! I don't know if it's because this dog is a boy and the other one was a girl... this little guy is a peppy little guy and our pup is loving him. He's actually really loving the puppy

So without further ado... here is Cooper! Before I show the pics... funny thing about his name. We have a sheltie and his full name is "Little Lily's Golden Cody." He has golden fur, but he just so happens to live in Golden, CO. Which we didn't think about until after we named him but it was an "aha!" moment that made his name fit. (Almost all of our pets have had C or S names) Well we were trying to think of names for him, and Cooper came up. My Mom said "What's his full name... Little Lily's Cooper?" and Lily said "Super Cooper!" Then we start laughing... the store where we bought him at? King Soopers. So alas... Little Lily's Sooper Cooper came about So the name fits, lol.

And now here is our little man

OMG so cute! I so miss having puppies. My dogs are going on 6 and 7 years old, and are super big. But I don't think we'll have puppies for atleast another 6-10 years.

I'm not a dog lover either, Im a cat person. But I do love my sheltie, and I got to admit, I love this little guy, lol.

But we took him to the vet today... the vet is convinced he is mainly border collie, and thinks the "oh he should be about 35 lbs" is a joke.

She said "At this rate, you can expect about 60-65 lbs full grown." OMG HES GOING TO BE GIANT! lol

YIPES ! lol I guess we will see how big the little (or not so little guy) gets!
