I don't care for any of her music, but think she was talented at one time. I think her voice changed and she doesn't have a good voice any longer. That's why all her music is electronic.

I never liked her. I always thought she looked like a man, something about her hair always looked weird to me. I thought her music was ok though.

Now I feel sorta bad for her.

Never been a Spears fan. I was not into the pop music that came out, her included. Now I just feel the same way about her that I do with most of Dh's family. All drug addicted, irresponsible, losers that don't know how to love and appreciate the gifts that have been given (in her case that includes tons of money along with the two kids).

Seriously though, I agree she needs to appreciate those kids, but I think she's mentally ill and needs help before she can do that.

Sorry I guess I do feel a little strong on the subject. I just deal with Dh's family constantly. One of his cousins just got locked back up for cooking and using meth a couple of weeks ago. She is only 6 months younger than my DH, her oldest kid is 15 and her youngest is about 3 or 4 months old. She has 5 total. His brother just moved in with us and is trying to get custody of one of his kids- he has three or four, I think he recently found out about a fourth one. I was only half way listening to the conversation, and I really didn't want to know, so I didn't ask any questions. He has two younger brothers that both have kids they can't take care of, though I will admit that Michael tries. He is just too young and actually hates his wife (got married after conception on a first date) of course their second is on the way. I could go on and on. Chris hears about another one every few weeks or so. Most of his siblings and cousins are just repeating what their parents did to them. His family has popped out tons of kids that they then neglect for at least 3 generations now.

Mental illness may be involved, but for most of Chris's family it is just plain stupidity and selfishness. I can't help but compare celebrities like Spears, that I don't know personally, to people that I do know living somewhat similar lifestyles.

When it comes to her i do the same thing as you!!

However, i deal with mental illness constantly. I have close family members who are VERY mentally ill. I have gone through hell and back with them and it is so heartbreaking. They don't want to feel the way they do or live the way they do but they can't help it. My heart goes out to those with a chemical imbalance in their brains. It's a horrible illness. So therefore my heart goes out to Britney Spears. I want her to get healthy. I am sure if she was she could appreciate her children.

I too have never really been interested in Brittany Spears, not really interested in her music, a couple of her songs are OK but in all honesty her voice annoys me, thats how i felt before she started going 'off the rails' She may have a mental illness, she may just be careless, whatever it may be, shes getting lots of publicity shes still selling records, shes still getting money and still feels she can check herself in and out of rehab whenever she feels, things like that are not a luxury. so many people need rehab and people like her abuse the system. Also I agree with Brenda, she has been blessed with 2 children who I feel sorry for and shes wasted it all, when theres so many of us in the world trying so hard for children who would raise our children properly and yet its just not happened yet. this world really is a wierd place.
