I dont' have to work tomorrow

I get 5 personal days a year and never use them. This year I decided I'm using at least a few. DH and I made an appointment with our financial adviser who just happens to be located in the same city as my MIL her husband and my FIL. And, my SIL just happens to be in town. So, I get to take the whole day off to have a 45 minutes meeting.

I haven't seen my SIL since Oct, so I'm very excited to spend the weekend with her. My signing is very rusty after so many months off though. She's going to have to put up with me stuttering for a while.

DH and I went shopping tonight. We bought a beautiful solid cherry dining room table with 6 chairs and a cherry tv stand for the flatscreen tv we don't own yet

We plan on buying one prior to the olympics. DH got a bonus check from work for the first two months of the year. Usually we save his checks but we decided to have fun with this one. A local furniture store is going out of business and these items were such great deals we couldn't pass them up. I think we're done shopping for a while.

my DH is also taking a day off tomorrow because it's my B-Day.

I don't have pics yet as we haven't picked it up. We have to rent a van to pick it up. They wanted $90 to deliver it and we live about a mile from the store

There's a UHaul rental place a few miles away. We'll get a truck there and pic things up ourselves.

I googled for images of the table and it's out there, but all the pics are tiny. I'll post pics once we pick the things up. We hope to get them on Sunday when we're back in town.

Linds, DH and I had no days off the first year we worked for our current company. It was rough, but worth putting the time in. He'll get more time off the longer he's at a job and the older he gets. The next time he takes a job, he may be able to negotiate how much time he gets off.
