Even though DH's job is totally cool.....sometimes I hate it He has been working 24/7!!! Monday through Saturday from 9-midnight. I barely get to see him, we barely have spent much time together lately.
I feel bad for being a complainer about this, but DH has been complaining too. He's tired of being there at work all the time, he's tired of being away from me. He's tired of being in charge of everything that's breaking. He is getting sooooooo stressed out and I know that's not good for his swimmers. (So i'm a lil worried that this cycle won't be it either because of his high stress job lately.) We can't wait for this movie to be over. Have a month to go.
Sorry for complaining about this, but it stinks!!! I hope DH gets a new job soon, a job where he won't be worked M-S till midnight. Poor guy is so stressed and tired. When he gets home all he does is sleep and then morning comes and he leaves again. We get to spend maybe like an hour together everyday I miss him and just want to spend time with him. So we've been praying that he'll get one of the job he applied for out of 7 of the biggest studios around. Ones that worked on Titanic, Narnia, Harry Potter, etc.
I'd rather spend all the time in the world with DH than him making this extra OT money. THe money is not important to us, our marriage and love is. This just stinks.

I'm sorry Linds... I know how you feel and it just sucks. With Lacrosse season right now, DH and I can go days without seeing each other. He drives straight from work to his parents house (an hour away from ours) and does his thing there, then goes straight to work from his parent's house. If I don't go down with him, I don't see him at all. Needless to say with my O time approaching I've been making as many trips down to see him as possible. Even when we are in the same town, he's sleeping or working on Lacrosse plays and stuff. It's like even when they have a free minute, it's filled with sleep or something else!
I'm here for you if you need to vent- I know how you're feeling hon. I hope that this new job pans out for you guys and that you can get to see more of your DH. Sending you lots and lots of HUGS!

Yes Em it's a matter of waiting to hear back from the studios for a job. Sometimes it takes a week and others maybe 3 months! all these new jobs would require a move. Either 4.5 hours North, 3.5 hours South or across the world. 1 is in San Fran. 3 are in LA and 3 are in London, UK. (we'd prefer/want one of the London ones actually, I'd be close ot you then Em! We could hang out!) I don't know anyone here or in San Fran, or LA. I do know some people in London and DH's best friends there too. So that's why we want and hope London works out
He's currently working on Red Cliff. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0425637/
Awww I'm sorry Cris that you understand how I'm feeling

It would be cool, I'd have people to hang with. 3 hour train isn't that bad at all!! I know Clare lives the opposite way. We all could get together, if we did move there. It'd be fun!! I hoping that London works out too. (free healthcare, friends and a better/awesome studio job for DH!) praying hard!!

I'm sorry you aren't getting to spend any time with your Dh right now. That stinks.
Right now mine is at home having to do work all weekend. I know it's not as extreme as your Dh's job situation, but it definitely sucks when you can't spend quality time with your Dh!

I've just read through the thread and you and Em made me laugh so much planning our little get together!
I totally understand how you feel about missing our other halves because they work long hours. Tim used to work ridiculous hours as well and then when he was home, he continued to work. Since his company restructured it has got slightly better, he is home now each evening about 7 (before it used to be after 10pm) He doesn't work from home anymore so we get to spend more time together. I think my constant nagging helped a little! The only problem is now he has a Blackberry he can get his work emails easily. I have to admit that i often hide his Blackberry so he cant check them.
Im sure things will get better in time Lindsey and hopefully he will get the job that he wants.
I do have one question Lindsey - how are you finding the time to BD????
