Hey ladies,

I have a question I was hoping you all could help me with. I am afraid that I have a short luteal phase. For example I think I O'd on March 28 but started spotting brownish yucky stuff on April 4th and on April 9th I got real AF. Are you supposed to count spotting as the start of AF? If you are then my luteal phase was only 8 days. I looked online and found somethings that said you should not count it as AF until you see red and other that said spotting brownish discharge should be counted as AF. Either way I think I am going to start taking B6 because I have read that it will help lengthen you luteal phase. Please give me some advise.

I've always been told that when you have the FLOW that's when to say the start of AF is. I have a short luteal phase myself, between 9-10 days. I started taking 100mg of B6 and it has lengthen to 11-12 days. So that's definitely better. Taking extra B6 couldn't hurt just ot be safe, I'd start with 50 mg once a day to see what happens to your LP. That's what i did. Then After 2 cycles of it not helping/lengthing my LP, I increased to 100mg. I wouldn't recommend taking more than 100 mg of B6 as too much is bad. Good luck!
