My doctor called with my results already. I couldn't believe it since I had it drawn this morning. She got my pap results back, so checked to see if they'd finished my blood work. Since they had she gave me a call.
She'd like me to be at 13 or higher to get pregnant. She said 5 is acceptable, but low. I'm at 2.5.
I was pretty sure my levels were low, but for some reason hearing it makes me sad. I have to call her again to let her know when I have my period so she can make sure I've ovulated and that I am in the second half of my cycle. I told her I know I ovulated on Thursday last week and that I'm on CD43. If I weren't in the second half of my cycle I'd be in for a really really long cycle.
Now i have to start figuring out what the best route is. I'm frustrated that we've wasted a year to find out that I need some help or it probably wont' happen for us.

I am sorry your frustrated. At least you know that the doc can help you get a baby. When you strat treatments remember it takes a healthy couple about one year to concieve so dont get discouraged when you start your treatment. I am learning that right now. I am on my 3rd cycle with clomid and IUI and I havent gotten a bfp yet but I know it will happen soon.

I know how you feel. We were pretty sure long before we started TTC we would have problems because DH had some testicular injuries as a kid and might have a low count. So we kinda knew it was coming when we got the results, but it was still like a kick in the gut to actually hear that number and know how low it actually was.

Sorry your progesterone is low.
Like Jennifer said, I've heard that Clomid works well for fixing that problem.

DH had a SA today In between all the jokes back and forth, he let me know that his result are great I don't know the numbers, but he's got enough and they look great. That makes me feel so much better to know we're only dealing with me and not both of us.

Just talked to my doctor. She won't give me anything until next cycle because of my miscarriage in March. I completely understand why, but I'm so angry about it. If I had regular length cycles, I'd be almost done with 2 cycles. I am just finishing one and will have to wait until really late may or early June to finish the cycle I just started. I called her in January to get things moving along so I wouldn't have to wait until June. I am so glad we're finally able to do something, but I don't want to wait.
She wanted me to come in this cycle again a week after O to check my hormones. I reminded her that my LP is always short and if we wait a week after O my LP is almost done and my hormones will be low again. That convinced her we probably don't need to run the tests again. Not that I really think we'd get pregnant this cycle, but maybe we'll take a break. That way I know I'll be able to start clomid and won't have to F around for another 6 months wasting time. I guess waiting this month out isn't so bad either. I'm going to Europe and I'm playing on a co-ed Ultimate Frisbee team. I expect to get roughed up a little in Frisbee. We figured if we got pregnant I'd quit if I needed to. Now I wont' need to.

(((HUGS))) I know how frustrating it is to have long cycles. I have seen people on this board get AF 2, 3, or even 4 times before I would get AF. I felt like I was being robbed of chances to TTC. Atleast you are getting somewhere though. And now you can play Ultimate Frisbee! I love playing that. I play on a really competitive co-ed volleyball league in the summer, and this summer I am not playing. Its sad, but it will be all worth it. Good Luck!
