Thumbs up for the general idea. But I don't know yet if I will get this particular brand. I think these are cute:

Thumbs up. I just hope my little one likes it. My nephew hated his! He would arch his back in it which would make him start to fall out. Definitely not safe.

My friend's little boy was only 5 months old and when she tried puttng him in it, he would instantly fall forward because he couldn't hold himself up yet. I told her that I didn't see the point of putting him in it like that. Personally, if the child is older, I think it appears to hold them in rather well. But, I'm not a big fan of them.

Thumbs wayyyyyyyyy down. From a therapist point of view, the Bumbo is slightly reclined backwards, so it allows the little one to disengage their trunk muscles while in it. this effectively allows the chair to do all the work. I think this can delay the wee one from sitting up on their own.
