Hi again ladies. I came back to JustMommies!! Woohoo. Originally nizgirl.

I am about to turn 30, dh is 30 yrs old. TTC 10 months... and counting. I have 8 1/2 yr old daughter from previous relationship. I have hypothyroidism, with levels just returning back to "normal range-1.106 just 3 months ago after a year of "being low".

I'm a bit discouraged. Today is CD 35. Only once have I had this long of cycle. I thought today... I WAS PREGNANT! Dh and I have been TTC for 10 months being aware of fertile window... 14 months total if you count casually trying since our wedding. UGGGHH!!

Just had appt today with Fam Dr to get referral for Fertility Specialist. They did pregnancy test---BFN of course. Dh and I both are going together to have tests done next week (hoping AF comes and goes quickly), for me to see if my tubes are blocked and him to check spermies. Then, I go talk with fertility docs. I'm so discouraged but I do know there is some hope. My doc mentioned Clomid. Is this to start at the beginning of the cycle?

RANT: By the way, I'm an Early Childhood Teacher, and work with children 6 weeks to 6 years. I LOVE my job... but it's really hard hearing somone new is pregnant all the time. All my girlfriends are finished having children.. and I keep getting pestered. OH.. if they only knew it's not that easy for some ppl to become pregnant!

Well... I hope to find hope and encouragement here with ladies who can relate. Thanks for reading my story.

I'm Lindsey your co-host with my sidekick Brandy!! I'm 21, married to Simon since March 07. We're currently on cycle #18 of TTC our first.

Yes CLomid is taken between cycle days 3-5, for 5 days. I just took Femara this cycle, similar to Clomid~ Good luck~ ANd I know what you mean about some not understanding about infertility.

Hi! I am sorry about your struggles, I know how frustrating TTC can be. I too have hypothyroidism and am just starting my meds for that. I also have PCOS. So I have a history of long frustrating cycles and it does suck! But I feel strongly that seeing a fertility specialist is going in the right direction! A lot of us are seeing REs and have had or are going to have procedures done, so you are in good company. I really think you won't have to wait another 10 months to get a BFP, especially since your thyroid levels are finally in the good range and an RE is now part of the solution! I wouldn't be surprised if you got a BFP soon!

Welcome back! Like Michelle said, several of us are going through something similar to you! I'm on cycle #20. I just had a HSG and some blood work. I'm one of the lucky ones that don't need any medication and have short cycles.... It sounds like you're on the right track, you're getting your thyroid levels under control.... that is super important. Good Luck! I bet you'll see your BFP sooner than you think!
