Ok so I have a question....I currently am on Day 3 of my first round of clomid tonight. I have been feeling incredibly tired since Tuesday (first day of meds) is this a normal Side Effect?

Also is anyone on Ovidrel? I am really nervous about administering the shot myself. Does anyone have any advice on this? I know I have some time (followup U/S is May 1st) but still....

Thanks for any help!

I don't know if being tired is normal or not. I am on day three of my second round and I haven't been tired, but not every person has every side effect. I do have a headache tonight, but I got home and got busy and forgot to eat dinner. I really think that was why I got the headache (I have eaten now, but I am sure I will have to sleep it away.)

I can't help with the shot either, I haven't had to do that. Any chance DH or a friend could give it to you. Maybe if you can look away while she shot is given it would be easier. I have even heard one person say they took the shot with them to the ultrasound appointment and when the follicles were large enough they had one of the nurses there give them the shot before they left. Maybe that is an option.

I think I am going to ask one of my friends who is a nursing major to do it. I asked DH but he said that he didnt know if you would be able to....so that is the plan for now. From the research I have done online I have only seen one person say that it was really painful for them. So we will see....

I will give my two cents. I give myself shots everyday for diabetes. One at night and one each time I eat something.

Now not all shots are created equal, some needles are bigger or longer than others and I have never taken the shot that you named, but for the most part I have found it is mind over matter. The first few times it was so hard, I got stuck with the needle halfway in, telling myself don't take it out, put it in, etc. LOL. But once I did it I realized it isn't so bad.

now there are nerves all over your skin, you can hit a bad spot with a lot of nerve endings and have it be really painful, every so often that happens and I will move it over just a tiny bit and it won't hurt at all. The other tip I can give you is look close to the spot you pick, if you can see a blue vein under the skin at all don't do it there, it will hurt like a SOB! Hope this helps, you can do it!!
