Well girls, I have to start by saying that I love my new doctor. He is absolutely wonderful. Very positive too so that makes everything much better, especially since I was pretty down in the dumps with everything.
DH and I went to our appointment on April 18. He reviewed all of our bloodwork, asked questions, and gave us a plan. He ordered a transvaginal ultrasound and an HSG for this past Thursday, then said that we could start clomid next cycle. He also ordered additional bloodwork of glucose and insulin levels. He doesn't want me to take the clomid for more than six cycles. I asked if there was a plan B should that not work and he said there is always a plan B, but he doesn't think we will need it!!!!! Let's hope he's right.
So, this past Thursday I went in for the ultrasound, for some reason the radiologist couldn't find my left ovary transvaginally so she did an abdominal ultrasound and found it. Then they did the HSG. That was a little painful and I had cramps the rest of the day, but it went well. My left ovary does sit a little higher than my right, but the doctor didn't seem too concerned.
The office called today and told me my ultrasound was normal....no cysts this time.....so good news. My glucose came back normal, and they are waiting for my insulin results to come back.
Now, I just wait for my next cycle to start. He'll do an internal exam to check my ovary size and start me on clomid. Unless, of course, we get preggo this cycle without the clomid. I'm feeling like we are finally moving in the right direction.
So, again, I love my new doctor. He's so upbeat and positive. What a difference it makes in our attitudes. YAY!!!!!
Thanks for listening.
ETA: I almost forgot.....DH loves the new doctor too. Especially since at our first meeting, he reviewed DH's SA results, looked over, and said, "So, you are a superstar huh?" I didn't hear the end of that all day. DH was so cute about it. He also said something to the effect that it was going to be wonderful watching us become pregnant. DH and I left the office on cloud 9. BUT, I'm still trying to keep myself from not getting too excited with everything we've been through already.......it did make us feel pretty good though.
