So I had an absolutley horrible night last night....my day actually went pretty well, I cleaned almost my entire house after my final in the morning and then I made homemade kneophla soup which turned out the best it ever has, so that was exciting!!!
But then I went to softball practice....practice wasnt the bad part...I actually hit really well and fielded well too so I was happy with that becuase I had a poor practice the week before.
Again BUT!!! Dh came with me and I always give him my wedding ring when I practice and he isnt playing simply so I dont lose it anywhere.
Well he hit infield for us and played outfield a little when we had batting practice....
So we are going to leave and he goes to give me my stuff and guess what....my ring is gone!!!!
He had it in his pocket and somehow it wasnt there anymore....he felt so bad so I tried so so so hard not to seem upset and mad, but its hard....I mean obviously that ring means the world to me...DH picked out my engagement ring and wedding band himself without any help so it holds ALOT of significance to me! Its not like we can go buy a replacement and it will be the same.
Anyways, we spent literally 4 hours looking for it on the softball diamond...we were there from 8 till 10....and then ran home and got flashlights and was there from 10 to 12:30.....and still no ring!!!
I am so so so so so so upset about it, but I dont want to make Dh feel bad!!! Grr...what do I do???!!!
So yeah what a great B-Day gift huh? I spent the first half an hour of my B-Day searching in the middle of the night while it was raining (lightly though) for my wedding ring. And now today all I can do is think about where it could be and how can find it....I have literally 0 hope left!!
Sorry for the vent girls....it was just a really bad night!

Update....Thanks for all the support girls!! We searched at lunch but still didnt find it...we also put up flyers every where and contacted anyone and everyone we could think of!! DH is doing everything he can think of to find it....we also just put and add in the newspaper and online classifieds....and the only place that has metal detecters in town is out...so we are waiting and hoping that comes available soon! Please keep praying that we find it!! Thanks again!!!

I am really sorry about your loss!!!!!

When I was little my mom had lost the diamond in her engagment ring. The diamond was my dad's grandmother's and he had it placed in a ring for my mom. My mom was sooo upset about this. She looked everywhere for the diamond. At night, she was changing to go to be and found the diamond stuck in her bra! She was lucky!

You never know...maybe you will find the ring.

DH lost his wedding ring last spring (only married three years) - he was driving down the road with his hand out the window and it just slipped off - he felt really bad because he knew it was loose and just didn't make the time to go get it resized....he was on a divided highway so he went to the next exit - turned around - went to the next exit the other way - turned around - went to where he thought he lost it and got out and started searching the median - a cop pulled up and told him to get back in the car b/c he was endangering himself and motorists who would rubberneck....so he called all distraught and since I knew he was on the road I was like "omg you've been in an accident" and I was so relieved when it was just the ring - ha ha ha - so maybe that helps - it could be something much worse.....

Our rings were special - we had them engraved and we bought our bands in Aruba when we went so like yours irreplacable -but now we laugh at his 13.99 walmart ring and we will be replacing it when we go to Aruba in a few weeks....

Did that story help you at all? It is a very sad thing, but we have to keep a positive outlook and keep it in perspective!

OMG i am so sorry :dothugs: That sucks. Are you going to go back and look for it? Did you let everyone on your team know that you lost it?

I have to add that i think it is so cool that you and your DH play a sport together. What a fun way to grow closer.

So it's your Birthday today? happy Birthday I hope your day gets better.
