This may be a stupid question--but what benefit would this offer? I'm not sure of the purpose. . .

I have a client who had to get one. She had twin boys who would not stay in their cribs. They would climb out and then run into the living room. They would do this for hours. It became a game to them. Then one night one of the boys hurt himself real bad trying to climb out. She went out the next day and bought them both a tent for their cribs...Now they have to stay in there all night long

Thumbs down. I don't like the look either. I guess I'd have to make a decision based on my kids behavior, but I doubt I'd use this. Of course that's easier to say now than when a kid won't stay in a crib.

Thumb Sideways....I agree that the looks are not appealing, but if my kid is a wild monkey who likes sto climb out of their crib, I'd get whatever would keep them safe the best regardless of looks.

Well most people don't need them I think it's different when you have more then one kid at a time or kids close in age

thumbs sideways...I've seen a few others that I like a little better but we will definitely be getting something like that due to my cats, I don't want them jumping in when the door is open

I never even thought about the cats getting in the crib. That tent is a smart idea for that.

I didn't have for my DS - although we didn't have cats or bugs. I know they say to be careful about anything you put in or around the crib as a safety hazard.....we had a bumper in his bed but they say that can be dangerous so who knows....I'd say for me personally - thumbs down - I would get annoyed by it.
As for climbing out of the crib - my DS (knock on wood) has never even tried.

Your DS is so cute Lucky for you he hasen't tried getting out yet. My DH has a little sister who is 3. She would always get out of her crib too. She wasn't wild though...They got her a big girl bed and she was fine after that.

Thumbs down. It doesn't look good and any child that truly wants out of that crib will find a way out. If they can tear the feet off of their footsy pajamas they can tear through something like that!
