I like the concept, but I think I'd need more colors and designs to chose from, and I haven't found any organic sets that I totally love.

Thumbs side ways. I think it's a great idea, but I doubt I'll do buy a set.

I'm with everyone else. . . the sets aren't all that cute, but we'll at least have organic sheets, I think.

Thumbs up. I like the idea, I'll have to see if I can find something cute when the time comes. If not, like you said, maybe at least get organic sheets.
I know for sure I want an organic crib mattress. They put all kind of flame retardant chemicals in the regular ones!

Thumbs up because they're organic which is a great idea. Thumbs down because they need better color/design options.

An organic crib mattress is a smart idea too..I didn't realize what they put on/in them. Is anything safe anymore?? It's pretty scary
Thanks for the info.

Jamie, they put in chemicals that are there to be fire retardant but then these chemicals can off gas. It's thought that they may increase the risk for sids. Also if pee gets in there it can react with the chemicals and make them even nastier.
Here's a website with a little info: http://organicgrace.com/non-toxic_baby
It's a shame because I already have the crib mattress that my niece used, but I think this is one of the things I really want to spend the money on and go organic.
They also put fire retardant chemicals in some baby pajamas also. I know it is meant for safety but I worry more about the definite harmful effect of the chemicals on the baby than I do about the small chance of a house fire.

Aww, sweetie, I didn't mean to freak you out. Don't sweat it too much because you are already SO much more informed about things than the "average" person who is TTC.
I think that is one of the few semi-good things about this TTC thing taking so long....we will have researched everything and will be more prepared to when that little one finally arrives.
