I have now officially had my shortest cycle since going off the pill about 20 months ago. AF showed up with a vengeance today. I just ovulated 8 days ago. This is ridiculous. I'm excited to start clomid on Monday, but I'm bummed that my body seems to be shortening and not lengthening my LP. I took 100 mg of B6 each day this month and I don't think it did a thing. Last month my LP was 7 days. Before my miscarriage, I was between 9 and 11. I'm so frustrated with my body not cooperating.

I was telling DH today that I like my doctor, but I don't feel like she's going to monitor me on Clomid like I think I should be. I know each person's situation is different, but I've read on here about women's doctors doing ultra sounds to check their follicles and drawing blood to check hormone levels. Mine isn't planning on doing any of that this cycle. She just wants me to fax her a copy of my temp chart so she can see what clomid did to it. I think I may call in and leave a message to find out if they'll check progesterone at the end of the cycle. Last cycle it was almost non existent by the time they checked it. I want to make sure that my dosage of clomid is doing what it should to my hormones and not just by looking at a temp chart. While the chart should show if I ovulate, it won't show what I want to know, which is that my hormones are where they should be. I don't want to take clomid any longer than I have to. And, since I want more than one kid, I want to try to do everything I can to get pregnant with it sooner rather than later and not waste a few months because we weren't staying on top of things.

I hope that the clomid is just what you need to get a BFP... If you think you should be monitored more than you are, maybe give your Dr a call and ask about it. Better to be proactive than not in my opinion. What's the worst she can say, right?

I'm sorry that you had a short LP, but hopefully you'll be able to get everything figured out and get that BFP!!! Good luck and I hope you don't have too many side-effects from the Clomid!

Sorry she showed sorry the b6 didn't help

Good luck with your doc, hope she'll grant your wishes. But I totally agree with you, a chart doesn't show much, but if you were already ovulating to begin with she doesn't need to see that, she should want hormone levels and or an u/s to make sure it is working and if it doesn't then to know when to up the dose. Good luck with the Clomid!

Cel, I'm glad you are finally getting to the clomid. I agree with you that monitoring is necessary to make sure you have the right dosage. My doc had me do progesterone b/w 5-7 days of my suspected O. Actually, they had be come in on day 23 the first time, but since I didn't O until that actual day, the b/w was worthless. The 50mg wasn't enough for me--I am now on 100mg and in the 2ww, so we'll see. I hope everything goes smoothly for you, dearest.

Aww hun. I'm sorry that AF showed. I would definitely call your doctor. It really is something that should be monitored and you should absolutely be checking your progesterone. Good luck with the clomid. Hopefully, this will be it for you!!

If your LP is so short I'm not sure why they wouldn't want to monitor your progesterone. It only makes sense. Give them a call and see if you can talk them into it. There's no reason not to be proactive. Even if the Clomid works if you need progesterone on top of it they won't be doing enough. Good luck, I hope you can get this all sorted out and get your BFP.

I don't think one little ultrasound around CD 12 to make sure you are ovulating would hurt! But either way, look at all the recent BFPs on Clomid! One woman in the Jan DDC just found out she is having multiples from Clomid! So this is exciting!
