The day you get your first +??
Or the next day, or even the day after???

OPKs don't predict when you are ovulating but when you are going to. After you get a + OPK you can ovulate between 12-72 hours after. That's why I always either tempted to know when I ovulated or chart my cervical mucus.

Usually I ovulate on the day I get a positive OPK or maybe one day after.

I test a couple times a day when I'm close to getting my surge so I make sure I get in a BD on the day I get my positive.

This cycle I got my first positive showing up around 2:00 a.m. and then still positive the next afternoon. I ovulated sometime late in the evening. So I'd guess less than 24 hours after getting the positive.

You ovulate 12-36 hours after you get your last positive OPK typically. It is possible to ovulate in the middle if you experience long surges. It takes time for the LH to work its way into your urine and then awhile longer for it to work out. If you look at the bottom chart on my FF page, for example, you'll see that I had 4 days of positive OPKs and my temp confirmed ovulation for the third day. If you keep track of your cm and temp as well as using OPKs then it makes it a lot easier, especially since you can have several patches of fertile cm and positive OPKs before ovulation actually occurs. Going strictly by OPKs I would count the day after the last positive as your ovulation date and then begin counting your DPO the day after that. So say you had your last positive on CD 15, then you could assume you O'd on CD 16 and on CD 17 you would be 1 DPO. I hope this helps!

I temp & use OPKs so I think it's helpful to have the temperature to back it up. I usually get 2 days of + OPKs, my temp dips the day I O and I'll get a negative OPK (but I usually know my pattern well enough that I don't bother using one) & then the rise to confirm O.
The other girls are right in saying that ovulation typically occurs 12-36 hours after your last + OPK result. It really depends on when you catch the surge. OPKs measure LH (luteinizing hormone) which is the last hormone to peak before O. So it's not measuring ovulation per se, but just that you are about to ovulate.

Hope this helps!
