Who are you going to tell first? Besides DH!
Are you planning to wait the standard 3 months before you tell friends & family?

I think I'd try since I'm superstitious but I'm also a bad secret keeper (when it comes to my own secrets..esp something like that!). So I don't know what I'd do! But there's also something kinda nice about just you & DH having this big secret just between the two of you....

We'll tell our parents and close friends - the same ones who know we're TTC.

Otherwise, I'll keep it mum here at work as long as I can. Since this is #2 I'm sure I'll pop early and won't be able to keep it a secret for long!!

I think I will tell my mom right away...but I will wait to tell DH's family since they have big mouths and will tell the whole family. It's not that I don't want the whole family to know, I just want to hit that milestone before we go crazy telling everyone.

I will tell the people who know we are trying TTC. Otherwise. I will try to wait to tell as long as I can, but with my whole social system being German and in love with beer..... I will be glad to have an "Don't ask me twice reason"

I think we'll tell our parents and my brother and SIL and nephews after we go to our first Dr's appointment for confirmation. DH doesn't have any siblings otherwise we'd tell them too. My extended family is all out of the area, so we'll probably wait to tell them a bit, but DH's extended family all lives in the same town so it'll be hard to keep it a secret, especially with my MIL the Blabbermouth! (She know's she's bad too). I guess we'll cross the "when to tell people" bridge when we get to it! It's taking us so long and absolutely no one know's we're ttc that it might be nice to actually be able to tell people something! LOL

We will tell our close family right away this time. Last time we wanted to wait until we had an ultrasound photo and I ended up telling them when I found out I might lose the baby. I wish I had told them right away when it was GOOD news, so I've learned my lesson and I'll be telling the people I am close to soon after I find out.

I'm sure I'll tell my sister right away and then my parents. I'll let DH decide when to tell his family. I'm sure DH will tell his sister right away but maybe not his parents. Besides that, I think there is only one friend I'll tell. A few friends know were ttc because they're all having problems as well, but I think I want to keep it mostly to ourselves for a while.

I will tell my parents first then everyone else. EVRYONE knows we are trying. I mean everyone. Everywhere i go everyone ask me if i am pg yet. So i won't be able to keep it in. Even if our first pg ends in a loss it will be nice to have the support of others.

Well...I'll share my story....DH was the first to know, ironically that day I was meeting up with Jamielynn and told her because I was late from getting my blood work done. We still haven't told our families and I'll be almost 8 weeks when we do tell them. The reason we have waited is because a few reasons. 1. We planned to wait till at least 6 weeks after seeing the u/s to make sure it's ok. 2. We didn't want to announce it via the phone, since we're in CA, DH's fam is in TX and mine is in FL. We want to see their reactions not hear them. We're planning on announcing the news when we leave on our road trip next week! I cannot wait to finally announce it. I am so surprised at myself for keeping this in so long. I talk to my mom everyday too. I am usually so bad at secrets, but I cannot wait to see their reactions. I think we are going to video tape it

Everyone knows we're trying as well... So we'll tell the immediate family and then tell everyone else later (yeah right my family has a big mouth).

We will probably tell our immediate families soon after we find out. We were going to wait, but we decided that if something did go wrong, we would like the support of our families. Everyone at my work will know probably before I do! LOL. I work in a lab, so once they see my name, a pregnancy test, and the results, they will all know! But that is okay with me, I guess. I am very close with the women I work with, so they will be very supportative.

DH and I are terrible at keeping our own secrets. We have no problem keeping other peoples secrets, but ours, it is almost impossible! We don't even wait until Cristmas to give eachother our gifts! LOL

I want to at least tell our parents and probably our siblings. And of course everyone on JM. I don't know when we'll start to tell friends...DH couldn't really wait last time and I wanted to tell my friends in person so we were able to do it the day after it was confirmed. Next time, though, everyone is just so busy that I don't know when I'd get a chance...well, if there is a next time, I mean!
