Where do I begin? DH had a SA a month ago and it came back low count (6 million) and low motility. We were at the urologists the other day and I asked "could medication affect his count" the doctor asked what DH was taking. DH has been taking hormone replacement therapy medication (testosterone replacement) for several years. The doctor said that this is basically killing DH's spermies. I didn't know whether to weep because this may be the issue or be upset with DH for not thinking of this earlier?? We have been TTC since Sept 07 and got pregnant in December. We miscarried at 5 weeks. DH told me the other day that he was off of his medicine during November/December because he ran out and didn't get a refill.
I just can't believe all of these months have been wasted (well, not wasted, we've had fun in the process)...

I'm sorry to hear his meds have effected your ttc. Looking on the bright side though, it's great news to know that may be the issue, especially considering you got a BFP when he was off the meds. Maybe he can go off them and you'll get prego right away. Good luck!

Wow thats crazy. It's good that you found out what may be wrong though. I hope you get your BFP as soon as he gets off it

They need to put that kind of thing in really big print on the bottle top! I'm so sorry that you had to try so long just to get this news. At least you know now though and can do something about it! Good luck!

I'm sure that's frustrating! I hope though that this is the reason that you haven't gotten pregnant and can do something to remedy it and get your BFP soon!

Well, I don't want to sound unthankful, if this is the reason...I'm glad that we've found out. I have just been thinking over the past couple of days that when DH and I talked about me coming off of bc and trying, why didn't this come into his mind? It's crazy. Maybe he just didn't think about it at the time. Geez...we have spent a fortune on CBFM, OPK, Pregnancy Tests, etc!!
I hope all of you wonderful ladies have a great weekend and Memorial Day.
Thanks for listening.

I know someone else on JM who had the same thing happen to her!
I wish doctors would ask what meds BOTH of you are on and then give you a heads up if it is something that might affect fertility.
I hope that his sperm count goes back to normal now and you can get your BFP.

Wow - that's crazy!! Well...I don't know about your DH, but mine sometimes just doesn't put 2 and 2 together...it takes a little longer for the big light bulb to go off, know what I mean?
I hope this leads to a fast BFP for you!!

One of the first questions my OB asked was what medications DH is on. They need a default list of questions and at the top should be your medications followed immediately by his. After years of being on that medication I'm sure your DH just forgot what all of the side effects are. It isn't like the lists are short, they all have so many problems they can cause!

(((HUGS))) I'm so sorry this happened to you! At least you did find out though & now you know. Maybe they can put him on an alternative medication or treatment plan.
Sometimes men just don't think!! *Sigh*
