My doctor wouldn't do my HSG after CD 10. It was because if I Oed before then I might have been early pregnant at the time of the test. The dye would have either killed the potential baby, or possibly pushed it into my abdomen and causes an ectopic pregnancy. I didn't O until CD 14, so I would have been ok (and that was my fastest O time EVER), but she wouldn't take the chance. Your doctor is probably letting it slide since you are not BDing and there is no chance you will be already pregnant at the time of the test. Some doctors are more strict about that stuff than others. Good luck with the test, and fingers cross for no blockages.
I am a little confused why you won't get results on your HSG for several days. I watched the test as they did it, and she went over stills of it when it was done with me and DH. Sometimes if they see a blockage they will try to unblock it with a cath, and they can do that right away.[/b]

I'm not sure about the result taking longer either. They had to book it at another hospital so maybe that is why. Maybe I will know something during the test after all but just won't get to talk to my own dr. about them until she gets the results.
They are making me take a pg test beforehand even though there is no chance whatsover of it being postiive.
How long ago did you have your test? Just curious.
