So, it went fine. My dr. will be referring me to an RE in Savannah, but we are taking care of two tests here first. I have and HSG scheduled for Monday. Usually they do that between CD 5 and 10. I'll be CD 12 Monday (the earliest they could get me in) but the dr. thought I should go ahead so we don't have to wait another cycle to find out if I have a blockage. If I O before then, then I obviously I'm out for this cycle (We wont BD until after the HSG) but we can TTC as soon as the test is over if I haven't O'd yet. So far this cycle is on track for my normal Oing on CD 14 or 15ish. Fingers crossed for that.

The other test she wanted to get done here is DH's SA. Poor DH - She told us to go to the lab for him to make an appt. so we went down and they showed him to the "private room" to get it done right then and there! He was a good sport and luckily right before that he was joking that maybe if the person who runs the SA's is there, they will let him 'knock it off right now". So that is done. I'm kind of anxious about his results because, even though he got me pg w/DD, he is having a hernia issue right now so I'm wondering if it has been effecting his guys. He has a surgical consult next week for that. It's good we will have the results so, if there is problem, he can ask his dr. if it could be due to the hernia.

I should have my results a couple of days after my test. I guess we take the info to the RE after that. The dr. highly recommended (and I have heard this before) ttc after the HSG b/c some women are more fertile the first couple of cycles after that. I'm just hoping I don't have a blockage. I could have some scar tissue from the radiation 4 years ago. It was localized on my other side but you never know.

I had a progesterone blood draw in April at CD 20. It confirmed ovulation and she just told me my number was 10. I'm not sure if that is okay. She seemed to think so but the RE will probably tell me more.

I'll KUP and thanks for listening!

Sounds like it went good.
My doctor did all the same stuff at my frist appointment. However he wouldn't allow me to get the HSG test done after day 9. I wish i would have done what you are doing. You are lucky to get it all over. I couldn't get in anywhere. It will be 2 months after my dr. appointment that i can get my hsg test done.

I am glad things are moving along for you. Good luck!!

That's great news. I'm sure you'll be relieved once the tests have been done. I know I worried about blockages and stuff until I had my HSG. Good luck!!

Thanks! Why wouldn't he let you get the HSG test after day 9?

My doctor wouldn't do my HSG after CD 10. It was because if I Oed before then I might have been early pregnant at the time of the test. The dye would have either killed the potential baby, or possibly pushed it into my abdomen and causes an ectopic pregnancy. I didn't O until CD 14, so I would have been ok (and that was my fastest O time EVER), but she wouldn't take the chance. Your doctor is probably letting it slide since you are not BDing and there is no chance you will be already pregnant at the time of the test. Some doctors are more strict about that stuff than others. Good luck with the test, and fingers cross for no blockages.

I am a little confused why you won't get results on your HSG for several days. I watched the test as they did it, and she went over stills of it when it was done with me and DH. Sometimes if they see a blockage they will try to unblock it with a cath, and they can do that right away.

Sounds like everything's get thoroughly tested! Good luck I just read on the TTC board, I believe, that anything over 10 was considered good (for progesterone) and 15 was excellent. I hope that helps. I had my done in the winter but I never asked what it was & they didn't tell me. Just that it was normal. Ugh.. wish I'd asked!

Good luck w/everything!!

I'm not sure about the result taking longer either. They had to book it at another hospital so maybe that is why. Maybe I will know something during the test after all but just won't get to talk to my own dr. about them until she gets the results.

They are making me take a pg test beforehand even though there is no chance whatsover of it being postiive.

How long ago did you have your test? Just curious.
