I'm having a very strange cycle. I seem to be having more CM than normal, and way earlier than normal, too. I checked my past data, and I normally O around CD 18 or later...and here it is CD 10 and I've got tons of creamy CM. I didn't do an OPK yet today, but I don't think I'm going to get a + yet, as yesterdays was a blatant -. I don't want to get my hopes up that I'm going to O early this time...although it might give me a shot at conceiving in July. (Right now I'm scheduled to O the week DH is in Dallas.)

Charting is helpful for those things. LOL. I hope you body knows DH will be gone during your normal O week, so it gearing up to do it early! Good Luck!

Have you changed your diet or anything lately? Sometimes I've heard that the more water you intake, the more CM you'll get. Just a theory.....

Don't you just wish there was an button somewhere on your body you could push to trigger ovulation, to ensure it happened at convenient times? Mine would be way worn out by now...

I don't think I've really changed my diet lately...it's hot here so it's possible I'm taking in more liquid, but it doesn't really seem like it. That's a good idea anyway (drinking more water), so we shall see.

I understand completely! I'm going start charting (temp) as soon as AF comes. I'm tired of never knowing when I'm O'ing too!

Good Luck!

I believe this is 100% true! I kinda did an experiment on myself early on in my TTC journey. I did one cycle where I drank all the water I could daily, and my CM was VERY abundant. The next cycle, I drank very little water and I had next to nothing in the way of CM- it was there, but was hard to find. I really think that hydration has a big effect on CM! So, drink up that water!!!

Just throwing this out there, but it's probably still too early to be getting the good, fertile cm anyway if you wouldn't normally O until cd 18 & you're on cd 10 or 11. The creamy cm is still acidic & hostile to the swimmers & it's what you'd have before ovulation and possibly during the 2ww. Once you get closer to O though, it should become more ewcm or watery. If you want it to be more ew though, you can always try Mucinex or Robitussin. They both have the active ingredient guaifenesin which helps to thin out mucous membranes & secretions (usually to help make coughs more productive but it also helps create more ewcm too). Hope this helps!

Yeah...I didn't get a + OPK till last night, and I'm on CD 14 now so maybe I'll O just slightly earlier this time.

I have heard about the cough meds but I have major aversions to liquid meds so I haven't tried them yet. I'll just try extra water for now since my app't is in a few days anyway.

Thanks for all the feedback.
