Hi all! I ran across this board while looking at TTC stuff online, and though I'd drop a line....
I've been married since Sept. 2000, and we've been TTC for most of that time- (there were a couple of months when I was really sick, and in the hospital and afterwards I went on the pill for a short time until I was better). For the first 2-3 years I really paid attention to timing, and also had an initial consult with a fertility OB/GYN specialist. However, at that time I was not really at the stage where I wanted to try ANY kind of medical testing or procedures/ drugs beyond normal exams, U/S, and blood tests. (I am now 27 by the way, and was finishing my B.A., so I kind of convinced myself that it would happen when it was meant to be).
But now I am done with school, and unfortunately, the insurance we now have doesn't cover ANY fertility treatments... But that doesn't mean I can't go back to careful timing, OPK's (well I have a fertility monitor), and temping. Although I am forgetful and not very consistent with the monitor or the temping...
In any case, we will be back to trying those things, and in the meantime hopefully one of us will find a job with better insurance so that if I don't get pregnant, we can start the next steps.
I hope I can fit in here... and while I try to get to know who some of the posters are, I will probably just sit back and respond to others instead of creating my own topics, at least until I get to know some of you- well that is... as long as I can keep my big mouth shut- its a task, trust me.

HI welcome to JM and TTC 6+ months. I am Sandy and I am the co- host. I am so sorry that it has taken you so long to get pregnant. It took DH and I 13 months and I finally got pregnant the first cycle on Clomid. My insurance did not cover it either but it was only $25.99 for the month. I charted my temp and that really let me know when I was ovulating. My Dr also used my charts to see that i was not ovulating.

I hope that your stay on TTC is short and sweet and you are in a DDc soon.

Thanks for the welcome!! Congrats on getting PG... =)
I do ovulate- or at least that's what my dr told me last time I was there- he did bloodwork and an U/S..... I have a very regular AF, but I personally think I might be ovulating late. Each time I have tried pinpointing O day, its always very close to when AF is due. But its been a while...

Welcome!!! And please feel free to start your own topics--no one else on here keeps her big mouth shut, so why should you? Personally, that's what I love about this board.

Glad you came across us...it's so much help to have someone else going through the crazy and daunting TTC process with you! The ladies here are absolutely wonderful and I'm sure you'll fit right in!
