I got my first ultrasound today at 6w3d by my numbers and by the measurements. Due date is still January 25. We got to see the heartbeat (really more like a heart flicker) and we got to hear it. The rate was 120bpm. I got to talk to my OB for the first time after the ultrasound was done, and I will set up my next appointment in a month. I don't think I will be getting an ultrasound then, but we will use the fetoscope to listen. Of course I have my own ultrasound at work, so I am sure I will take a peak before then.

I know what you mean about using the u/s at work, My DH is a radiologist, so Im sure if I ever get a BFP he´ll have all his students practising on me!!

I just saw this and wanted to say CONGRATS!!! How's everything going? How are you feeling? Any new news with baby?

Thanks. Nothing new at this point. Constant nausea and heartburn if my stomach gets even the tiniest bit empty. Today I was eating a small bite every half hour or so. I ended up going through my entire day of snacks before lunch time and had to go get more. My next appointment is July 3, but I won't be getting another ultrasound at that point. I did play with the ultrasound at work on Father's day, and saw the heartbeat again. If I held my head just right and squinted a little I could kinda make out little arms, legs, and a head as well. I may play with it again this weekend.

My appointment went great. We heard the heartbeat with the doppler (170bpm) I had four vials of blood drawn for all the beginning tests they start with. I had a pap in march, so luckily I didn't have to get that repeated. I also got a script for phenergan that I have not got around to filling yet. With holiday closing pharmacies and being afraid I will get too drowsy with it while I am on call, I will probably wait until tomorrow to fill it.

I am starting to get a little belly, at least my pants are getting tighter. I am thinking a lot of it is bloating since when I have peaked at the baby, and when we listened with the doppler it is still really more down in my pelvis. I have my belly pics posted in the picture section of the Jan DDC, I took my 11 week pic saturday, but I haven't pulled it off the camera and loaded it yet. My newest good ultrasound pic (this one from at work) is in my siggie (and posted with my belly pics.)

I also let my secret out to my family and co-workers this weekend and today. I really wanted to wait until I was completely out of the first trimester, but my parents, DH, and sister couldn't make it through the fourth of July party my parents always have, so I just gave in and let them break the news then.

This is how we broke the news at the party (or at least that was the plan, but no one had noticed the shirts before my mom kinda lost it and kept loudly asking me if she could tell yet, ok how about you let me give them a hint.)
