I was born in a very small town in Minnesota. I lived there for 6 years with my mom and dad (who will be married 30 years) and sister who is 3 years younger than me. We moved to California when I was 6. I have moved all around California. At one point I had gone to 5 different schools in 1 year.
I grew up as a dancer, cheerleader and gymnast. I danced/trained 26+ hours a week and competed in dance and acrobatics every weekend for 4 years. Dance and gymnastics took over my life so my mom started to home school both my sister (who also danced as many hours as me) and I. I loved being homeschooled more than anything. Homeschool gave me the freedom to work on modeling, performing, cheerleading, dancing, acrobatics and acting.
When it was time to go to highschool I wanted to go public instead of being homeschooled. I cut back on dancing and and focused on cheer instead. I was co-captain and cheered all 4 years of highschool. My senior year I fractured my neck at cheer practice while tumbling. That ended my dreams of being a professional dancer/cheerleader. My sister however went on to be a dance teacher, ring girl and pro-cheerleader. I am still bitter about it to this day
Anyway my 10th grade year I went through a lot of stuff. I went through more pain than most people go through their whole lives. After some horrible events my family ended up packing up our house and moving in the middle of the night. We moved 5 hours away to the town we live in now. I attended yet another new school my 12th grade year. That’s when I met my DH. He is 4 years older than me. I met him at a supplement store. He was working there and I have to say it was love at first sight. 2 and a half months later we were engaged. So even though I went through hell to get here it all happened for a reason. This Thursday will be our 4 year wedding anniversary and this summer we will be together 7 years.
Right now I am working 2-4 days a week as a hairstylist and I also do some promo work for whatever companies need promo models. My sister and I usually do it together which is lots of fun.

Wow - I feel like I know a celebrity!! LOL!

I was in gymnastics when I was younger - I know how much time and energy it takes and how it puts a toll on your body. That's horrible that you broke your neck!!!

Have you done any modeling for any companies or projects we'd recognize??

I broke both my arms dancing too

I don't do print work. I do just promo work. So an advertisment company will hire me to go an advertise for them. I work with a Promo company too.

Here are two places i am sure you have heard of

I have done Advertisment for carls jr.
This is my sister and i. We go to football games and during half time we would go out and the field to promote carls jr. For this we got paid $30 and hour. We would work 4 hours but really we just sat and watched the game until half time and then got to leave

We also promote the UFC/PFC... My sister was a ring girl so thats how i got this promo Job.
This was us advertising for the WEC. The guy in this photo is the "RHINO"...WEC WORLD LTHW CHAMPION. We got paid $50 and hour to do this job.

I loved your story Jamie! I danced forever too!!! hehe small world. I started in ballet but because I'm so short, and have no legs, knew I could never go pro! I went on to cheer, but ended up in Drill Team. I love to kick!

I am so sorry you had to go through so much to get to your DH. I'm glad you were able to find the love of your life!

Did you like homeschooling or public school better?

You were the perfect american teenager!!, and you and your sister are so glamourous!!, I never liked gymnastics much as I was always far too tall, but then I found swimming. I understand the dedication and will it takes to drag yourself to training at 6am on a January morning!!.
I am looking forward to reading your 20 facts!

I was never good at swimming..I think i was to short. People who swim seem to be long and lean I forgot people who swim have to swim when it's cold too. I would HATE January 6am swimming practice Was your pool at least heated?

I loved 90 as well DH and I were working on our floor a few nights ago and heard the music. The CW is bringing it back with a new cast. We both stopped what we were doing to look at the tv.

You don't have to be tall to be a swimmer. I'm only 5'5" and was a swimmer, but I was a breaststroker. Most of us are stockier than the freestylers.
