What is a really "good" FSH level?

Mine is 8. I thought that was good for an older lady, but now I am wondering if my chances of conceiving are borderline.

I have a 15-month-old, still BFing little boy, who was conceived naturally. I am desperate for a sibling for him before it's too late.

(Too embarassed to post my age.)

I did a quick search and I am assuming you are refering to the CD 3 test correct? From what I could see of the various reports, a FSH level of under 10 is considered normal. So I would say you are fine.

Thanks. It couldn't be done on day 3 (Thanksgiving, and the labs were closed), but I was told that day 2 was okay.

I just thought that "the lower, the better." I couldn't find any info on "average" levels anywhere.

I like your "Buzz off, AF," btw!

Baby dust to you...

I've been told the same thing--under 10 is good!

I hope that you're able to give your baby a sibling soon!!!

Thank you, iamkc!

I am just discouraged because of my antiquity , despite the fact that I conceived my last little one naturally just 2 years ago. I heard that good FSH in older moms doesn't necessarily mean the eggs are still good, or that she can still conceive.

I thought maybe a 6 would mean better. Oh well.

We shall see.

My best to you, too...
