I know the feeling. We are making doctor's appointments in December (assuming I am not preggo now.) Most will say 1 year minimum if you are under 35. Good luck!

Dh and i have had medical intervention and we were told dh had a low sperm count which isnt inpossible but can be hard to conceive hellooo thats why we came to u for help because its not happening for us. We were told we had to do ivf if we wanted to have a success ivf isnt what i want to do surely drs would try iui first ivf seems a little drastic to take. Anyways we moved to us so we will go to the drs next yr and start and see if the drs will be any better maybe the drs can give dh tablets or something.

DH had testicular cancer + radiation, so we had a sperm count done. He is 'on the low side of normal' BUT it only takes 1. right? When Dr. got the results he just advised me to start charting. (that was aug.) and to only BD every other day. Now Dr. is retiring so i'll have to find a new one.

Well I had started to go to the Dr after my M/C ( cycle 9) and they done blood work on Cycle 11 and found that my prog was very low and he did not think that I was ovulationg on my own ( but my chart looked like I was ) so he put me on Clomid and I got my BFP the first month!!!!

Well, we didn't want to do anything too drastic, like IVF or even IUI just yet. I also don't want to be on too many fertility aids. BUT it's been 2 years. We thought our doc would take us seriously. But we've been blown off. There are no other docs, so we're pretty much left to our own devices. We were going to try to go to another doc 2 hours away (closest one), but he KNOWS my doc and quickly said, "Oh, stick with her." ARGH! So we're going to try another doc 2 hours in the other direction. Here's hoping s/he will see us! All I want is basic tests run--like progesterone! I'm so tempted just to start progesterone cream or something like that. I hate the idea of using anything without a doc's approval and analysis, BUT it's getting to be too much to handle!!!

Long answer short: we've been trying to get medical help for a while. Hehe.

We TTC for about two years before seeking assistance. I went through seemingly every test possible. It sucked. Finally it came time to be my husband's turn to be tested. Turns out he had a low sperm count. He was diagnosed on his first visit to the urologist with variocele (basically varicose veins in the testicles) and surgery was suggested. Even though the doctor gave us a very high success rate, hubby was a little anxious about surgery "down there!" So we continued to try naturally and not focus so hard on TTC. After almost another 2 years passed by, DH finally gave in and scheduled the surgery. It took less than an hour and he only took one day off of work.

We conceived 3 months later and are expecting our first... So I can definitley relate to the impatient feelings that all of you are having!!! I was not a happy girl! My advice is to not wait as long as we did and to be aggresive about your fertility!

iamkc - my advice is to schedule another appointment with your doctor and sit her down and tell her concerns and express your thoughts--that she's not taking you seriously and that if she's out of ideas, you're going to someone else. And then go! And by all means, if you've already gave her enough chances, RUN to another doctor! Good luck!

I did at the 11th cycle. The Dr orderd test after my M/C and we found out why it was taking me so long to get Pregnant. I got my BFP the first month on Clomid!!! If I knew then what I know now I would not have waited so long to go.

We've been to see my Gyne/OB, and she's ordered all the blood tests and SA. Everything came back great, my U/S was normal, i'm being sent for a HSG, and repeat the blood work and DH's SA. If all looks good with the HSG, DH and I are going to try clomid, clomid/IUI and see how it goes!

We have been TTC for 2 1/2 years, one of which has been with the help of medical assistance. We have been both been through testing & have unexplained infertility problems. I was on Clomid off & on for 6 months with no success. Dr. wanted to do IUI while on Clomid but my lining was never thick enough. Just did my 2nd month of injectibles with IUI, my lining was good both times, but still no sucess.
We are currently taking the holidays off from TTC & will be starting up again after the 1st of the year when my meds are covered under our new insurance. YIPPIE we will be able to save some money on the meds.
